In my personal point of view; (real) examples:

Case 1: Random thief leaving theft scents all over my grid. All scents were on hermits places. Grabbed scents > tracked > kill thief > break anything in his village.

Case 2: Random guy tracks me for the very same murder scents from case 1. I knocked him off, asked a few questions and location of him. Killed him, and went outside his village to ask more questions.Left his village in peace, 1 kill was enough. (In this case I was actually thinking in just knocking him off because he didnt attacked me, he was just tracking. But from data recollected from the thief, they were murderers and they were allies of the thief)

And no, I'm not saying I've a huge e-penis, those were random noobs.

Okay well the guy may have found you because you trespassed or you just stole from him. Another thing i must say is if i found a theif, which i did, i will just bring a couple friends with me and slaughter him and anyone with him.

in all honesty, be grateful that u got killed for a reason. my village got ransacked and 3 people killed, and we did nothing to aggrevate anyone.

although some people are decent. a new guy in my village had stolen something from some russian place, before he joined me and they traced him to my village, but although there were like 5 rangers, they didnt attack the village, just summoned him at his hearth. thats pretty respectable i think. i dont tolerate people stealing/trespassing etc in the village

My bad, i worded it wrong. i took one barrel worth. I built a barrel and started scooping buckets of q44 water out of a claimed river. I fugred thatd keep me from leaving scents. I was apparently wrong :/
