Broken English and hailing from a "panda village" led me to come to the conclusion that he was Chinese. Obviously he appears to be Spanish instead and he possibly isn't even in the panda village?!

Yes of course, everyone that doesnt write english in a perfect way is either spanish or chinese (I'm "spanish" myself).

yep, if the killer was from pandemonium (which i doubt but it is theoretically possible), i doubt they would claim credit for the murder in this manner. just the same as battle cries of "for bottleneck!" or "for mineville!" (lol) are never actually uttered by people related to those villages. and a runestone that says "oddytaun was here" or "pHp pwned u" will never actually be from those groups (well, we can probably make an exception for the pumpkin heads)
