Quick question there Mr pandaman, what's the penalty for going against the wishes of the rest of the village, including the victim of 2/3rds of the original crime?

Because sarah was under direct orders by both the lawspeaker of the village, and the victim of the murder to drop the fucking subject and not escalate this.
