Sad things happen to most honest people and Satori is probably one of them.

Small advice, hold stuff in your inventory until your payment arrives in chest/large chest, whatever you have there. At least I always do that with new customers. There can be no trust in first trade ever.

Agroing is not an option, its just paying in advance that solves the problem.

i think that would be going too far for me...

if you are an established trader with a spotless reputation like Satori, and they are the 0-post alt account, always demand payment first, then its pretty safe imo.

Hope it doesn't happen to me. Still wondering if a mod will look at this and connect his IP with another user? Or is that only possible if they have made an actual post in the forums?

Well, they could connect it to another user im sure, but if the user isn't a frequent poster it doesn't really matter. I'm sure a mod will likely do it anyways

Oh i know, but last time someone got scammed in a trade burg posted their main account, was just thinking the same would happen in this case, but i suppose they don't really have to do anything.

The forums are part of the meta-game as well. People can disguise their true identity in game using the forums to do this, so I don't see the problem in outing them. Ofc it doesnt have to happen, but it has before, and would be nice I guess. It is possible to hide in game of course, but it takes actual effort, rather than just hiding using an alt account on the forums, which is 10 seconds work.
