I agree with you fully. Unfortunately, Winterfell proved that trying to play the game the way it was meant to gets you screwed over.

i realize it's hard to balance but please make it a priority to figure out some method of making pvp better. siege in particular is terrible. and no, i don't really have any good ideas to improve it.

If I would be so bold.

If proper trust was expanded we could come into an agreement with the other larger russian settlements (Taar, Roadville(?), etc).

It would be very simple: If you use bugs to raid others, you will be dealt with by the others in the agreement, by any means.

(I'm for it, and I think it's something we had as a common understanding that the others didn't get the message on)

How about this:

Get rid of summons.

Make logging out allow you to be attacked for 5 minutes.

Make ram and cornerpost dry times 2 hours.

No more arrows through walls. Or have the damage reduced to 1/4.

As good as no summons would be, people would just log out for days on end so they wouldnt be killed for their crimes

the reason bugs are frowned upon is because they are used to get over walls quicker then rams, how would making ram drying times shorter help?
