Every time the words "Russian Alliance" are used it becomes a racist argument.
We have the Sodom/Pandemonium Alliance.
We have the Taar Alliance.

Both of whom exist IN THIS GAME ONLY.

Real world issues, nationalities and politics have no place here.

This is A GAME.

We NEED major combatants in this game world, it makes things interesting. Taking IN GAME issues outside of the game and making them about real life nationalities is... for want of a better word... dumb?

There is good and bad on both sides, it basically comes down to the individuals game experience with each of these factions.
But these good and bad points are relevent to the IN GAME alliances which although each have predominantly single culture members are NOT REPRESENTATIVE of their country of origin in any way.

It has to be remembered that each and every poster on any forum is ONE MAN/WOMAN sat behind a keyboard somewhere.
If that ONE MAN/WOMAN is taken as representative of an entire culture then there is something seriously wrong.

Taar is just the tip of the iceberg tho. We call it the russian alliance cause thats what the members of that alliance have been calling it. It's not to be racist or label all russians who play this game for whats going on in there.

I accept what you say, but repeating it just fans the flames of racism. Whatever they call themselves is irrelevant, in this game they are Taar alliance, or whichever is the main village that they coalesce around. I am sure that Odditown which I understand was mainly american individuals would have called themselves an american alliance if they had become linked to any other mainly american villages. This however would not have made it correct either.

Somebody waving a flag around does not make this any more a nationalistic conflict.

Be the big man.... take nationality out of it, even if (edited removed "they") others continue to use it.

This is nonsense.

They are an alliance consisting of Russian members only. So it is technically correct to call them that. Furthermore it is what they call themselves. They don't want to be called Taar (since that is really only one town of their alliance), they want to be called Russian alliance.

Nationality cannot be kept out of it, because it is a main reason of the struggles going on. Members of that alliance feel they have been discriminated against in the past and will be again simply because of the fact that they are Russians. Wether this is true or not is not relevant, what is releveant is that their nationality is what keeps this alliance going and what is the glue holdign it together. So by taking it out of the equasion you would deny the very reason for their existence.

Your normative approach to this thing is welcome, but it will just stay that: Normative, wishful thinking. So I rather deal with the problem at hand and try to convince them that there is no racism involved from anybody of our side here. We give a shit about what country they are from, it is their behaviour that makes us dislike them. That "jew star" of nationality they pinned to their breast themselves.
