We have the Sodom/Pandemonium Alliance.
We have the Taar Alliance.

Both of whom exist IN THIS GAME ONLY.

Real world issues, nationalities and politics have no place here.

This is A GAME.

We NEED major combatants in this game world, it makes things interesting. Taking IN GAME issues outside of the game and making them about real life nationalities is... for want of a better word... dumb?

TAAR VERSUS SODOM/PANDEMONIUM

We're not the Sodom/Pandemonium Alliance. We're not some 'main village' that pulls a dick move and brands ourselves the leading of this 'faction' we are part of (Cause we might as well call it that)

So we can make it simple:

(Sodom/Pande+Friends [Not sure if they want to be labeled or not]) We're shirts, (Taar+MS13+Portgas+All those guys+Their friends) you're skins. :V

We never attempted to make it a racial issue, in fact the term 'Russian Alliance', doesn't come from me, but I heard it from someone IN said Alliance, hearing them say this, I decided to use it to refer to them.

We could always just call them the 'Axis of Evil' again. (After all A.E. is slightly better than A.D.)

I accept what you say, but repeating it just fans the flames of racism. Whatever they call themselves is irrelevant, in this game they are Taar alliance, or whichever is the main village that they coalesce around. I am sure that Odditown which I understand was mainly american individuals would have called themselves an american alliance if they had become linked to any other mainly american villages. This however would not have made it correct either.

Somebody waving a flag around does not make this any more a nationalistic conflict.

Be the big man.... take nationality out of it, even if (edited removed "they") others continue to use it.

As much as I regret spamming this thread with more posts, I will tell you that Odditown was not mostly made up of Americans, we in fact had quite a range of different nationalities. However, we never brought nationality into our politics. We didn't raid someone because they we're russian, german, or korean. We raided anyone and everyone, no nationalistic ideals played a part in our fun.

@Nao (if you read this) That fight went badly for us, since all the village newblets decided to tag along. What you ended up having on you were players with around 50-60 UA. IIRC the guy that koed, I believe I may have been on him, and at that time i was sporting 170 UA. I made sure to go after the guy with the bow. Would probally of ended up killing you if I remembered to bring along my water that day. Nevertheless I left my buckets and flask at home

Posting to clarify something here:
DatOneGuy: There's a big difference. If you're sitting on q100 clay you know enough about the game to get your teeth kicked in and come back from it. IF it really looks like a newbie, we usually let them go and buy the spot or something, we've done it before.
This makes me curious. How much of Pandemonium agrees with this?

Since apparently I guess I put my idea across completely wrong.

It's not that the default is for us to attack such a spot, the default is for us to try and buy some, if the price is just fucking stupid "10 gold bars 10 pieces", or if they just won't sell, or if they sell only to raiders and stuff, chances are we will try and negotiate to buy the spot or something, but if all else fails, like anyone else, if we can't get it we'll probably take it.
We've never really taken over a spot by force as far as I know, we always talk it over first. Even when A.D. kept Fort Ross in our area, I talked to them several times about removing it, because it was 'our SG', before I eventually took it over by force. (Gave them over a month to move it). All our HQ spots we acquired we always bought, we never went up to people and said anything like "Sell or we'll kill you" and half the time we don't know about the spot, or never run into it but just end up with someone looking to sell. Most HQ resources are pretty hard to guard (or were) like clay.

What I meant by my post is that if it comes to it, and we have no other way of getting it, we will probably raid for it, yes, but if someone is sitting on q100 clay, refuses to sell any of it for any price, and it's the best resource in the world, what would you guys do, I wonder?
(Actually in many of these cases we even offer citizenship, which is rare considering we don't take people unless we know them well usually)

Pretty late post, but recently came to my intention that people other than alpha read this in a different way than I meant it, so clearly I suck at writing :v
