Scooping water from claimed land will leave vandal scents, and scooping water in general will decrease the node's quality temporarily. A well on the other hand gives infinite water and will only leave trespassing.

Basically what I've gathered from most retribution crime is that the majority of well established villages contain a healthy supply of beefy board players looking for any reason to flex and kill time.

Yep, I killed a noob yesterday for a boat theft scent that he obviously left by picking up his own boat, but mainly cause his HF was out in the open and I easily slinged him to death.

if criminal acts are turned off, one can't do anything that could leave scents correct? so as long as I always have that off I won't accidentally leave scents anywhere for anything, right?

yea i walked past a nice village of ppl but when they saw me pick up a rabbit walking on a claim they killed me :cry:
