Ok, so we chalk it up to natural disaster.. There was an earthquake or some thing and leveled out a couple areas...

Those that wanna play red cross...go ahead...

But like foreign aid in real life, there may be a catch...you could end up at knife point when you accept aid...

It's q35, thank you very much. Barely good enough to use as palibasher toilet paper, sure, but we're working on it.

I understood the risk involved the moment I made this thread. Sure, this is a game where when someone steals from you, you (or a hired mercenary) go and find the thief so you can wear their entrails as a hat... and possibly get your stuff back, and villages will skirmish and war for land control rights when a particularly good resource lays between and negotiations have reached an impasse, but unlike a Deathmatch-style environment, there is a social construct in effect here, and being numb to those that got totally boned to total happenstance by something wholly out of their hands is kind of a dick move. Sure, I may very well find myself at the point of a blade before this is all over, but it'd be worth it.

Of course as in real life, if my home and all that I had were wiped away, I would of course accept whatever help was offered...

I'm simply saying that many people seem to enjoy killing the helpless, so to all accepting help...be careful...

But that's the beauty of online videogames. Many times, over 90% of the people you playing with you don't know. That's what makes it interesting. If all we ever did was trust and play with people we knew, games like this would never work. Sometimes it's the challenge of getting to know other players, and sometimes it's the terror of knowing what the world is all about, hearing good friends scream, "Let me out!!"

In the end, it's all good. Festering in distrust does nothing for the enjoyment of the game. It took me a while to learn that lesson.
