Long distance roads and trading caravans won't work until the siege system is incorporated. Currently the reason we have so many criminals is because they are in impenetrable vaults. If someone can get killed in a single night, people will think twice before attacking random people. This won't stop all criminal acts though, just make it so it's less common and more thought out than seeing some random dude and attacking. I would like to see news of trading caravans being raided and large villages tracking to their base and eliminating them, you know, something believable.

They'd have to get rid of summoning for criminals in that case

-no multiclients at once, wanna use alt? log off main, log on alt
-only one legal default client without nightision, x-ray, hiding objects and other stuff
-better sources of light
-no teleportation at all
-less rivers, more lands
-horses and others way for fast moving
-change FEPs, last botable thing
-terraforming that protecting water and river clay should be aviable
-fixing barterstands, why they dont work with curio? why I can't sell/buy things at once? Why i can't sell multiple items for 1 coin?
...and may many others

Game being such long at alpha stage is funny. Now bug abusing is actually part of the game, there is no punnish for that, so why don't do that?

You are so wrong. Fighting for resources, for free stuff, for fun. So many newbies have just a palisade and steal/kill. HVs have power level players.

Saphire is pretty much right. There is 0 risk involved in being a criminal, bring back brick bashing imo

So why ppl dies even when they have brickwall? Hint: you sometimes go out, sometimes we have walljump bugs.
You see this game like there are only RUA and Pande, some are casuals that want to have fun too, including fighting. Not everybody is able to brickwall own village, not saying about building HVs. HVs are problem, indeed, but only cus you can have 1000 places and jump between them.

Being a criminal should come with the mind set of "Will I be alive in the morning for what I've done?" not "lolol I have a brickwall I can do whatever I want with no consequence." In my opinion, tracking should be harder while vaults get nerfed to even it out. Something like if you commit a crime, you start leaving clues wherever you go, and the clues track to the next set of clues, meaning if you just went straight home you would lead them straight to you, while running around the wilderness will hopefully make them lose your trail, but they can catch up to you. The point will be that you have to go home some time, and if someone was on your trail long enough they will find you. Also logging out will make the next clue go to your HF.

This is just something I randomly pulled out of my ass, but it does sound good.

lol you cant enforce this

and the only reasonable compromise for removing nightvision would be to make all lightsources brighter and permanent

An excerpt from Delamore's Inner Party thread on lightsources:

Delamore wrote:At this point almost every player in the game is using Nightvision, I had completely forgotten just how nice this game can look with light effects. I believe all light sources should be permanent and there should be more natural light sources, a light glow from swamps for example. Also lower the darkness of night and remove the brown filter from dusk/dawn. This has nothing to do with balance of any kind, these changes will just make the game possible to play without Night vision and make the entire game more beautiful.
Jackard wrote:been saying this forever. have you ever seen the dusk/dawn filter on heath? terrible eyestrain

Delamore wrote:there should be more natural light sources, a light glow from swamps for example.

it would be fantastic to see that will-o-wisp from the starting room drifting around swamps, giving a blue-green glow. maybe they could be attracted to skeletons so you'd see them in a graveyard

i actually really like lighting effects when they are like diablo 2. your player automatically should have a wide, clear radius around him that can be extended by equipment. torches would also make a cool fire weapon
