You must have a pretty terrible sword if you have to use valorous strike to kill deer.

Well I don't HAVE to use it, I just prefer to do 700 damage as opposed to what I do with a sting. I only wish they had a popup saying "OVERKILL" every time.

I think the definition of "kindness" is very different in HnH. I just met a guy who was very grateful that I greeted him by saying "hello". He had assumed that all human contact in HnH began and ended with murder. Apparently, last time he spawned some other players saw his noob outfit and murdered him. I'm using a bronze helm and chainmail now, so I gave him the old bear cloak that I myself had been given as a new player.

Hopefully, he'll get some use out of the cloak, and, when the time comes, he'll pass on the good will.

Bloodlust/Punch (or strangle if intensity is low) after its defense drops should fell the deer fast.

Some time ago I was going on one of my routine patrol on my boat when I spotted a newbie running and half a screen away, a boar was chasing after him. I disembarked and immediately killed the boar. The guy was really grateful thought all I said was NP and sailed off, leaving the guy with the boar corpse there. I'm not someone that goes out on his way to help someone but saving someone's life isn't someone I cannot look away from or my conscious will strangle me.

A russian fellow I bumped into on my travels is far too nice for his own good! He gave me a Metal Meat Grinder, His only bull and Cow, and some other goodies. He wouldn't accept anything for them.

Not that I had anything trade, though, heh. Nice guy, though.

It was a simple grave in the middle of the woods. The fact that the buckets were still there meant that someone had been there recently. Unfortunately, I never found who had lost his friend, much less the boar that killed him.

I visited that place fairly often. The buckets weren't always there, but they were replaced fairly often, perhaps in the hopes that his friend's descendant would find it and return to him.

This is my first time visiting the forums. while here, i stumble upon this picture that fharlanghn posted. This is my skeleton in the picture. My friends set this gravesite up for me. Every once in a while i would go and make buckets to replace the ones that had rotted away.

One day while out grinding, i saw a bear and was warned to run in the opposite direction if i ever stumble upon one. So i did. while i was running, i ran straight into a boar that was hiding behind a tree. (this was before i discovered any of the clients) i was just starting out, so i only had 15 unarmed. Needless to say, i didnt stand a chance. he kills me. My friends find my body, and the rest is you already know.

Not so long ago I came across a new bunch who had decided to set up nearby. Being the gentleman I am I intended to return later and help them out a bit. A few days passed and my char was getting hungry. Hunting seemed like a lot of effort, so I headed back over there and stole all of their food.

Being a friendly neighbour just isn't in my genes, I guess.

I would leave surprises for my neighbors in their houses. It's too bad griefers swept through and slaughtered them all like pigs. ):
Didn't have neighbors for weeks after.
