Normally, I'd keep my mouth shut and leave this to rest... But really, I don't approve of this kinda crap. I realize by 'game law' its probably legal to do, but it seems extremely exploitative of the mechanics of the system, and that's entirely counter to the idea of having a fun game.

That said:

Doubt it will be of any use to anyone, but, just in case it is.

ITT: lazy scrubs that don't have the drive to track people when they're online. Something which can easily be done in combination with other tasks, such as foraging.

ITT people who don't realize that pro players train up alts to commit their crimes with and then lock them away every 3-5 days after raiding anyone.

ITT carebear farmville bores

E: you want to be safe inside your walls, but still be able to take righteous nerd-vengeance on those who dare oppose you, yet hearth vaults have their origins in the same mechanics that allow you to build imprentable smurfvilles. you can't have everything, but everytime someone suggests nerfing walls or buffing rams to change the dynamics of breaking and entering to be more plausible, there is a heap of fuck brains shouting fire about how 'griefers' will be able to sack their villes, not realizing the same walls also protect said 'griefers' and while people who commit a lot of crimes draw attention to themselves, while people who live carefully do not to such a great extent, one would presume such a gameplay-wise climate would be more hostile towards raiders than carebear faggots.

yet most people do not want this because they prefer never leaving their walled in utopias.
and this is why hearthvaults exist.
I know, lets just restrict PVP to a certain zone, so you can farmville away in absolute safety.

I've always thought that a nice way to force people into PvP is limiting total LP obtained by a char is set to 5m-10m or something around that numbers. After all, this is a Open PvP game.

I dont even know why I'm posting this idea here, but never thought it extremely well to be able to make a thread on C&I

Combat caps in some form or another is the solution.

It has been suggested a million times but devs don't seem to understand the need for them.

Well, it takes 2 birds with 1 shot.

1) Force more people into PvP because characters are not that "valuable" and have a limit
2) Make combat more skill dependant that stat dependant (altho there is already a bit of that)

It has a big con tho, less butthurt/drama. Which is probably why Jorbtar arent even considering implementing something like that :p
