Hiya guys, I'm the previous LS of Jomsborg, who's name is apparently being dragged through the ground. I've decided to clear a few things up, so this isn't a one-sided story.

Lets start with:

Your leader either needs to step up his game, or you need to reconsider him being leader. A leader who is so greedy and untrusting will most certainly lead to your demise.

You know the type, the ones who when everything is going down in their village, let people take their own personal safety, hide in their own personal brickwall that is in the center of it all (read: most protected), and hope they get hit last. If they can't trust their villagers in the good times, why would they trust them in the bed, you'll end up revolting and killing him in the end, or quitting because he sucked the fun out.

Yeah, he wasn't a very good leader. He didn't even do much, log in, afk, get curios, log out.

At the end, he just said "fuck it" and took off with all the valuables that we had vaulted (pearls, silk, steel, prince charming) without telling.

^This guy, was probably the worst villager you could ever have. The village had invested about 2 mill LP into him without any return. He would never do anything in game, and any good curio that he would find the village would never recieve. If you wish, I'm sure you could look through his history and realize that he's already been kicked out of my village in the past, for being a waste of space and in general an awful villager. I guess I shoulda learned from that first time, and not let him back in. But since he was a good IRL friend of mine, I decided to forgize him. I recieved shit from him, and he was generally as bad a villager as he was the first time around.

Yes, I did take some curios and silk, but it was the least I should have gotten. Throughout my time as LS, I had done nothing but assist the village. I'd leave the best curios for my villagers, taking only what was left. I had, at the start of the village, practically put it together with the help of several friends and had organized almost everything in it.

It was only near the end of my time as lawspeaker that I begun to tire of this job. There was simply too much work to be done, and I couldn't handle it. I was unable to get my village to cooperate as a whole, no matter what I tried. Sure, some members were great, but in general it was a mess. Then, when the raid happened, I decided that it would be better off for someone else to be in charge, who would be able to dedicate more time.

I made sure to appoint someone before forever leaving and I took some goodies with me for the time I had invested in the village. So what? Sure, maybe not the best decision, but hardly an issue to get worked up over.

tl;dr: I am not a crook!

EDIT: Oh yah, forgot to say. I tried to agree with another village to take the other villagers, but they didn't want to go. So only I went. Can't blame me for them not wanting to go. The goodies were meant as a gift from the village, but only I arrived there.

While that does clarify things somewhat, you're missing two parts:
1)Really things such as "I'll handle the metal alone" are what lead to your little 'burn out' problem there of being LS.

Not everyone's cut out for it, I know I'm certainly not, I'd much rather be the second hand guy doing a lot of work, but leading, no thanks, you can't always say 'No' to things, and have to find someone to do them.

There were actually members within the village that were able to work metal. Happyface104 was actually one of them. But yah, in the future I probably won't do that.

From personal experience as a member of a village I led back in world 3, I've seen firsthand how bad of an idea it is to close mine access/access to metals to villagers. This prevented us from finishing our brickwall.

It's also generally a bad idea to have every villager toss curios into a pot for redistribution later on as it will inevitably lead to people mooching off of the public curios, as you may now know due to what your friend did (or lack thereof).

Taking items unannounced before leaving a village because you feel that you "deserve" them is also a crappy attitude to have.

Just consider it a learning experience and don't make the same mistakes.

The only time you let me handle metal was mining it, and then giving it to you. You were the only one who could touch the metal after that. You prohibited anyone from smithing.

I remember the first village we made this world. When a griefer stole the key, I volunteered to train an alt and build us a ram. And that, I did. I got us out free, but it didn't end well when a party of bear caped bowmen shot us all down. We then moved to Jomsborg. I spent my time hunting, and essentially doing mining and whatever tasks that evil would actually let me do. If I did something wrong, he'd spasm in such a manner. Might I quote his one saying when he logged on, "WHO THE FUCK TOOK MY DELICIOUS DEER DOG" when I had a slightly higher agility than his. The reason why I had such an agility was because I actually WENT OUTSIDE AND DID SHIT LIKE FIND US A NICE CLAY NODE, AND BUILDING A VILLAGE IDOL ON THE CLAY NODE unlike Evil who just holed up inside the village, leeching off his villagers. Yes I did talk shit to Evil, but what was wrong? We knew eachother IRL, so I thought it'd be nice. The only reason I was let back in because the other villagers trusted me, and thought that Evil's faggoty decision of exile was stupid.

Also, when Evil said he took some goodies, it meant he left back some q20 cast iiron/tin bars. He took our only 2 silk cloths which Flamingo spent days and nights making, as well as the 2 steel bars in which the entire village helped fuel. Also, the 6-7 pearls that me, Murph and Myth got from our mussel expadentures. He never took part in any of these, except for logging in, taking some curios, afking, and running away with everything which we considered valuable.

Btw, when he said I didn't do much, I helped evil here build the village from scratch. He found the spot, we built houses, palisade, everything together and then formally made it into a village. Heck, I've even spent 3 hours throwing rocks at a bear with 9 mm for the village's sake. What do I get in return? Everything of value taken, and left with a village that was raided.
