All security systems are breakable, but does it mean we shouldn't use them? There are all the time new ways to jump walls, so why fix them? I don't know if client code was opened in 2009 but if it doesn't, that's the proof game needs security mechanism. Closed code isn't itself the one, it only makes harder to find those mechanisms.
