i thought it was suppose to be 50% of your remaining HP.

It's bugged with spars, in most cases it
will end the spar when you no pain twice,
but you regened one hp fast enough

hmmm well anyway... the cooldown is so long on no pain no gain. that even though i got 3 good punches off... my brother who just got up to 6 IP with DOG and charge then flexing just owned me. I think this is only a strat for people much weaker then you. oh well. neat combo though.

no, not really, i don't fight like other people,
i don't stand there and wait, i know the cooldown
of most skills and can break contact with them
easily between skills ( works great for fighting
higher AGI people)

i Use it for people much stronger than me =o

(200 UA vs 260 was the last i did i think...)

Doesn't that get you suckerpunched at the slightest hint of lag?

Try employing it while he is using DoG, then things should get fun. Open with charge and have dodge on, the first time you see him use DoG throw a punch, you might only have 2 or 3 IP, but it's the same concept. Hopefully you hit him with it still on, with the defense he lost DoG'ing himself, then getting hit without dodge on, should leave him in a bad situation. Worse yet if you no pain no gain, now he's at 0% defense, and you are at 50% offense. To much cool down after your no pain? Try combat meditation after your first punch, switch back to dodge as soon as possible. That would be the ideal situation, and isn't always the case, be willing to adjust to the flow of a fight, as Nao said, you can always try backing up in between moves to prevent him from using slide on you until you are ready to hit him back. Many variables are added to the fight when you star moving beyond the tiles you occupy.

I fought this whole world grinding charisma and melee combat.

Obviously, the above is countered easily, if you just put on dodge after using DoG once, but that's when things start getting exciting, how can you be sure he's not going to get that coin, or he's switched back to dodge? Wait till Enders adds enemy maneuvers to his client, that's probably how.

What's so bad about getting hit in manoeuvre other than Dodge? Only Bloodlust has lower weight, Oak and DoG block just as much as Dodge. I personally almost never use Dodge, because I see it as a waste of perfectly good opportunity for getting defence, offence or IP.

Oak while expecting a punch is the best you can. DoG... well, if it procs just a second before getting punched and that -10% is what your opponent needed to hit you and get +1 adv then it wasnt a good idea. DoG is extremely risky when your opponent has better stats than yours.

If we just started a fight, it wouldn't be really required of you to have Oakstance on, as you would be at full offense/defense, at least, in the situation stickman described. I think our views on DoG are a little different, I'm not a fan of using it in succession, and I'm fairly relentless towards people using it, if someone opens with it i'm inclined to throw on combat meditation and charge away his defense, to follow up with the mentioned punch/NPNG/punch (or better yet sting).

Suppose it's an unnecessary amount of micro management, theory craft, and paged of debate over a theoretical 2-3IP fight.
