Odditown finally raided. (Day 1 Palisade )

We started trading because we needed bricks. We had other stuff to trade for bricks, so the thread is still there now that we're not focusing on bricks since there really isn't a reason to take it down.


It's not like we don't care about the game, there was a point where we were having fun (and occasionally still do) but the only time I can remember in recent memory where we'vehad fun was when we had a skirmish with some people we surprised attacked, 1 month ago. We've passed that point for the most part since J&L have gone back to "nickle and dime"ing the alpha.

It's like everyone is afraid of change or just a bunch of hoarders that want to "save" all their stuff. People..wake the fuck up. There is eventually going to be a world wipe again and all your precious stuff gone in an instant.

They want their sandcastles to last forever and ever. Someone wrote a good post about it but I didn't save it.

We left the trade thread to find people nearby to raid. But.. nice try.

k maybe I'm wrong but it just sounds like a cheap excuse.after you got a setback, you claim that you don't really like the game and are bored by it mostly.I don't really believe it.

I get that you like the raiding/fighting part of the game and thats understandable, but I heard a nice saying sometime: "behind every good raider stands a succesfull village" and Im sure you guys thing like that do.you know that you have to get up Q and do the "chores" to be successfull in the part you like: PvP and raiding.

but I agree that its stupid of people to never fight back and only behinder their wall.tbh I never was raided and have very few PvP experience( infact all I did was fighting thieves without any combat skills...) but I assure you if you guys or any other raider tries to kill me, I will fight back and die with a smile on my face

On second thought, I think I am butthurt.

But, to be honest, I am butthurt but only about this:

I played this game because it was an open sandbox MMO with No safe zones. I was expecting a lot of PvP and assumed that it would attract the same type of players.

I came from games like Asheron's Call (Darktide) where open PvP with no safe zones was fun. That game went gay around the time they made house barriers and people could hide again. Every game I played after that lost its allure as soon as it went carebear.

I spent time in this game and thought I would be having a lot of fun PvP... But, the majority of the player base are carebears. They'd rather spend time collecting shit like little girls collect colorful pins and little boys collect shiny coins. What I'm butthurt about is how I failed yet again to find a good MMO with good PvP.

It appears that the "free-to-play" factor had a stronger attraction to carebears than the no safe zone open combat did to PvP'ers. Alas, I degress... I miss the days of UO's early carnage.

So, the hunt continues. ... But it will have to wait till after the summer.

I don't get you, if you like pure PvP play some shooters.the difference in HnH PvP is that you have to eat sausages, were a nice armor and stare at cows for a long time to be good at combat, but that seems the part you dislike.

Like I said, there's plenty of PvP to be found in H&H, you're just looking in the wrong places. I don't exactly recall you guys fighting AD last world, either

Yeah if you wanted PvP then you should have just attacked some stronger villages. Seriously, vandalize a node or something and wait for them to come to you.
