I'm a noob, I've just been robbed and I need help.

Hello, I'm Kherron20, some of you may already know me. I go by Kherron and Tama in game.

I'd normally not be bothered by this but the theft was of some q50+ ckickens that were graciously donated to me by a friend. Three cocks, two hens, and either two recently hatched chicks or two about to hatch eggs.

I logged out last night after checking on them, they were fine, I logged in about 10 minutes ago and they were gone.

I understand that my coop was not on my claim, however, I have a roundpole fence surrounding my home with both enterances in my claim and my fence undamaged. What really kicks me is thay've stolen from me and not even bothered to shut the door on the way out. I'm currently working on gaining LP to expand my claim to cover my coop but that's no use if they are just coming in anyway.

Obviously they have the Tresspassing Skill which I cannot guard against till I get a Palisade and gate and key.

I feel really bad that the chickens that someone has given me have been stolen and I'd really like some help if possible to sort this, stealing from noobs is par for the course apparently and some make a living out of it but I draw the line when they're stealing gifts.

It's not right and it sets a bad precedent: after all, who's gonna be bothered helping noobs if the stuff's gonna get stolen shortly after?

If help is not applicable, some advice to help prevent this in the future would be nice. I have two chicks left and I'm worried they may come back again just to kick me in the teeth once they see this post.

PPS: Also I'm somewhere south of points edge, I have no idea where that is on the map and I sure as heck am not putting up a screen shot unless absolutely neccassery.

It is fair game if it wasn't on a claim, and people walk through claims all the time... They could've also just smashed the fence and repaired it if they didn't want to leave a single scent. All you can do is raise your exp get some curios, raise your intel, keep getting curios until your mms is at 30+ then go hunt something on a boat. Also it is best to keep your most valuable items on yourself or an alt when you go offline.

that's tactics. I'd disagree. A "fair fight isn't about who dies or how. It's about being able to hit back. The games sheer focus on a death penalty for high investment chars forget that warfare should be about attrition. The level of attrition in battles is so expensive that without several months in a group developping a village you lose everything when you get hit.

First off i do wish to state that Out of all the peeps i ever read from on these forums. Chakravanti is in my top 3 of who i Respect the most.

So since we are talkin about polotics in general. how many of the threads have we seen(since W5) where the people who were hit, able to hit back? the majority of the posts I have read is what i had posted earilier. some new player gettin is arse handed to him by 1-3+ griefers/raiders. Or some moderate char being swarmed by d-helmers. I agree that H&H has a real polotical consequence and stuff(hell, that's why I'm still here), but with this new LP system. death in itself has somewhat "lost it's sting"("Alt" army anyone?) not to mention the sheer amount of LP a char has a chance to learn when he lives in an established to well off village VS. the newcomer person/group of people just beginning to set up shop.

if this was world 3, I would totally agree with you. but in my humble oppinion. as i stated in my previous paragraph, it feels as if death has lost it's sting. I could be wrong here, but i feel that peeps have all kind of "alts" from your vandalism/theft alts to your soldier alts. now in the previous system, each alt had to do stuff in order to get it's lp. now you can log in, fill up, log off and rinse/repeat till you get where you feel is a viable character. All the while your origional char(the one who makes/finds all the goodies) is, relatively speaking, safe at home. how does attrition play into effect here? mayby with 2 superpowers(as long as they are not vaulted) but what for the new player/moderate player/ non super power player without a vault?


now after saying all that, and if what I have gleamed from my limited experience in W5 as well as my Trollage of the forums. the new "polotical" system of H&H is
