I been briefing over this thread for some times and, in honesty, I find it growing more and more pointless. In the current world, tallying your kills is pointless as they can simply remake another one. Unless there is a large factor that creates a serious dent to the enemy (not killing a few toons), any minor victory is best to be ignored. In fact, we ourselves only use past battles for knowledge and not a scoreboard as it all becomes irrelevant in the end.
The bantering that I witness seems to be a broken record that played longer than Yukari has been around Gensokyo (for the uninitiated: she's pretty old). It has mostly been slinging recycled insults and the vastly overused and seemingly incorrect reference to butt-hurt and the pattern will not change unless the above changes which will continue to add fluff. This is furthered by the thread purpose being seemingly biased, though to be honest, it is almost impossible to find an unbiased reporter in Haven so I am not blaming NNN on this factor as Burgingham does his own slant in his Taar is Burning post.
Anyhow sorry about the rant.

An enemy will only fight if he believes he either has a chance to win, or you've backed him into a corner and he's fighting for his life. A completely crushing victory provides an enemy with neither.
