I have no problem with what you guys did or what you continue to do, I just don't really see the difference between one or the other.
it does make a huge difference when this game is in alpha status and not an official service.
players who finds abusable/game-breaking bugs are often those who are enthusiastic enough to play ahead or beat others.
most laid-back players dont notice them through casual playing, and miss how important some things can be.
motivations, whether it is a special cape or kicking rivals, can let players see something special that others dont see.
but then, if you find a bug and abuse it without reporting, you are no longer a tester, but just a bug abuser having fun.
if you find a bug, report it and then use it till it gets fixed, you are still a tester, even if having fun with it, letting the devs know how important it is by showing it. (unless devs ask you not to use it, maybe.)
the rest is up to each player's moral, and i think devs appreciate bug reporters more than anything.
(when needed, they dont hesitate to kill the specific chars, like jorb killed Darki? last time and gave him a curio and all.)
how much you abuse afterwards doesnt make such a big difference, its just another pot calling the kettle black to me.
