I think it'd be stupid to sum the game up by what goes on in the forum just because people generally don't post stuff about the mundane things they do. Whereas battles? fuck yeah battles! those are interesting reads which make me think "I want to play long enough to be that powerful" and not "I am never going outside". Maybe I'd think differently if I got raided/murdered and lost everything, but so far it's a goal of badassery I want to achieve!

Then why is it that I, someone who only played for 3 days, has never actually been attacked for any reason? I mean, I am not doing anything different, besides talking to anyone, even if they are probably murderers... Honestly, who are you pissing off that makes you think of everyone this way?

Also, these threads usually come from people who are unable to achieve anything on their own and thus feel like the ones who do accomplish greather things must be cheating, unfair, cruel or whatever. It is a conmmon sight not only in a game. In german we have a saying stating that jealousy is the highest form of appreciation.

so your a fat kid, playing in a sandbox for a long time, finally a new kid comes to play, he see's all your castles and sand art and he wants to build one too. So he starts building in his corner, day by day,

one day you are just bored/feeling random/jealous/looking to grief/ so you smash his castle in the corner. If someone smashed yours? no big deal you got shovels and stuff to build it again, poor kid (he's in a wheelchair now) can only use his hands. He also has parkinsons.

well i consider myself an "active poster" and i have never been considered a griefer, now the other two, well you gotta defend the village your in, and if another settlement means you harm, well you always respond and raze the place. I mean, you gotta protect your own.

Those are intentional game dynamics. Such is the wonder of human liberty that you are entitled to think that those dynamics - and therefore this game - suck. But don't expect sympathy/empathy/hugs/etc from people who enjoy playing the game and by implication, approve of those dynamics.

This is a god awful cesspool of rejects of the human race spewing bullshit and jackassery, not realizing they could do everything the other factions do if they stop being idiots and stop complaining, it's your fucking fault you don't even join a half-ass village. Hell odditown was built up on killing people, and took forever before anyone even tried to do anything. In odditown we never had higher than Q30 bronze plates, and many people on the forums fucking shit their pants and blamed everything on us.

Also painhertz, are you seriously such a shithead you die so often you have been brittled to the point of dying not even having you lose anything whatsoever? How do you fucking get to that point?

Odditown was always an impressive faction just because they weren't afraid. Even when I met you in combat I was happy to have done so for you used no exploits or bugs against us. That's a rare treat in Hnh~

I think your reputation had a lot to do with people avoiding you. Very early on you butted heads with AD in w4 and more or less terrorized your region of the world before anyone else could establish themselves. After that, people just feared you and the thought of you attacking sent most fighters into a panic.
