lol you got me there, right, nobody can summon you without a scent left by your new alt.

but if you feel sorry for your villagers, you should let your villagers to turn you in for the solution.
the whole community would know which village you had lived with and they wouldnt be able to trade if they dont act out.
it is their fault to take a douche like youself as a villager, after all ;)

Keep on trolling.

It's not likely the village will be affected in any way if he/she leaves it, unless Nao or someone else goes batshit on your behalf just to prove your point tho.

I was pretty trustworthy, actually. This is the first time I really stole something. I can get most simple things by myself and I can't palibash, so there would no point. And what do you mean? What has Swarm done?

Hey, guys.

I guess, you all understand that you are requiring gamebraking shit, and Burg doing a gamebraking shit?

p.s. Oh yes, i never hitted traders like that, and i'm in the good relations with Satori, so do not seek any private interest in my words.

The gamebreaking shit is that people can steal on their 0 investment alts from renowned traders and will never get any real punishment for doing so. If you want people to all close up their trading threads because it is too risky to do trading at all anymore, then sure I will keep my mouth shut in the future.

I prefer to help the guys who actually put effort in an already underdeveloped part of the game. Trading needs to be strenghtened and now made even more risky.

Also it seems to be pretty much a consensus among the other players posting in this thread that my behaviour is acceptable. If Jorb and Loftar disagree I am sure they will let me know about it. You might want to file a complaint in a pm to them or in the Announcement thread about moderation, cauda.

Trader should protect himself by ingame methods. Moreover, there are million ways to protect himself in such a way.
Build small brickwall around claim, recieve customers on that claim (so they would be inside the brickwall), take their goods by alt, teleport to your heart outside, take your goods and teleport alt back to village claime - that what i would do, if i was a trader, i invented this shit in a minute, and i think it works almost ideally. But nevermind, if it will fail, anyone could invent more protected way to trade.

Traders are not in any way holy cows, there should be a way to rob the trader, if he doing mistakes, why not? I could understand, if you said "there are no way to protect trade by ingame means", but there are plenty ways to do that.

As I said feel free to contact the devs about this since I am not 100% happy with the situation myself. Traders are what we make them to be and right now the playerbase views them as exactly that: holy cows. Since in my opinion the current game (un)balance favors criminals I decided to play detective. He abused forum mechanics to cover himself, I abused the same mechanics to uncover him.

Btw I of course would have looked up who he is either way, would have informed my allies and friends about not trading with him. Same goes for the rest of the mods. You should actually be happy I shared the informations with everyone so there is actually less of an abuse than without me uncovering the truth.

That's in the past now. And you might not believe me, but I had no intention of robbing or raiding that place. My number one rule: I don't steal from friends.I still feel horrible about hurting these guys and I wish there was a way I could make it up to them. I was considering bringing them some high q seeds as an apology for my previous behavior, but I think they would take it as something negative. I don't want to bother them anymore. What made things so bad for me, I think, was that I had a crush on one of the villagers so when I left it felt like a breakup. I still don't understand what I did that was so bad, other than overreacting.

There are plenty of ways he could have protected himself, like putting the chest on a claim and only trading noobish stuff with alts and noobs who can't afford the theft skill yet. He could have used a vending stand. He could have waited for me to deliver payment first (which should be the norm when dealing with characters with no reputation). Has I asked him to trade in game without abusing forum mechanics, the same thing would have happened. There's no reason to be afraid of scammers if you demand payment first. I think the community encouraged you to out me because they wanted to see blood, they wanted revenge for their friend, they wanted a show. I don't think they really thought about the fairness of it all. I really hope Jorb or loftar see this thread, their opinion on the matter would be very interesting. I definitely think there should be a rule about this.

i do not mind some people enjoying some online love romance when they can keep it to themselves and/or not trouble others and village business, but i mind your style and your love-horror story (which was deleted).
dont try to make a drama out of it and tell a tale as if you were innocent, unless its a good joke. (edited for typo)
