It kinda never was cold. The war between Sodom and AD in w3 was cold. This one..always pretty hot.

Yes, he was my battle alt which I levelled for a few weeks. Calling him "cook" was the joke, because he used to wear chef's hat for quite some time, while boating around.

Few weeks for lousy 3mil? Last few chars I made got 5mil in 10 days, what do your farmers and cooks study, lady mantles? q1 shewbread? :? You'll make me think that pearl in study window was fake :(

Ah, I wasn't around for that :)

What I meant was that a while ago, it just seemed like there were minor skirmishes, with one side killing off a character or two at a time. I guess it seemed to get "hot" in this thread, when they raided that cheese place of yours, and now you seem to be killing their cows back :).

Of course I remember earlier this world, when you raided Taar/Las Vegas/Roadville, but I'm not counting that as the same war... perhaps I should.

Also, I suppose there are plenty of battles that happen that aren't reported here...

Haven't actually seen any RUA outside of walls for a few days. I remember nao saying he took a 3 hour stroll near CCCP and didn't get jumped, he was disappointed i think  . But i guess the RUA guys have more important things to worry about right now.

It may just be one noticing this but each time NNN attack it is assassination and guerrilla warfares on structure. When Pandemonium attacks, it is a world wide operation. That is unless someone is not posting something crucial here that proves me wrong.

An enemy will only fight if he believes he either has a chance to win, or you've backed him into a corner and he's fighting for his life. A completely crushing victory provides an enemy with neither.

No, you're right.

They're mostly guerilla-style fighting and assassinations (meant to demoralize and wear down enemy). We're mostly large-scale warfare and brute force.
