This thread makes me wonder how much (on top of 'other things') google translate's accuracy is responsible for the general animosity that exists between certain members of the main and Russian forums.

Its certainly not helping some peoples case on the English forum as it makes them sound like a 6 year old trying to debate geopolitics.

Either way I think its hard to argue against (literally your either lacking experience or blind to the facts if you do) that the are certain 'large groups solely composed of Russian speakers' who enjoy raiding and even griefing various newbie to mid size and skill villages, becuase well 'why not'. Whilst some people love to tout a sort of nihilistic or absurdly subjectivist code of morality on hnh, being a dick to people on a game in which they by its very nature have to invest a lot of time in (and by your actions you in effect wipe the slate clean). Really dose make you a dick in exactly the same way as walking across a beach systematically kicking down every sandcastle you see. Frankly these actions drown out the normal peaceful and amicable day to day relations I've had with plenty of Russians (and Russian speaking Ukranians a few of whom I've met in my adventures) from hermits to the elements of a village one interacts with in the profession of scout and forager.

I also think a deliberately controversial style of humour we do see on Hnh's main forums from time to time has not translated very well and thus on the Russian forums one can (if one wants) make the case that a lot of the 'English speaking' community were at least indifferent if not actively engaging in actual racism against russians.

Overall the moral of the story I think is that once again the language barrier is acting as a catalyst to the and turning the natural fear of the unknown present in us all into outright xenophobia (at times by the deliberate action of certain individuals.)

As an aside on this note however, the various misuse of 'internetz' terms like 'butthurt' have of late provided me with significant amusement, if the xenophobia could go down at the same time as keeping that. I'd be a happy man.

We never have stated that we are paladins of peace and light. We're just 'good guys' in so far as we don't attack newbies for fun. We will however:
1)Steal your resource spot, fuck you.
2)Kill you and your whole village if we have scents leading to you, fuck you.
3)Call your mother a whore in the process.

Nao being part of the 'English community' has little to do with it, in my opinion anyone who speaks English is part of the English community, including you.

This little 'thing' about Russians v NonRussians is just silly, we tried many times to outreach to the Russian community in W3, go read the thread. From helping us with it we actually got really close to L0ck and he eventually joined us, but before he did, we traded with him often, hunted together, etc, had lots of fun. We never made a difference between Russian raiders and NonRussian raiders,

Sorry, but i just dont believe you. It's clear, that you dont have the power to fight russian and other raiders in the same time. So as result you have "our own bastards" like oddie or rok - you tolerate them and even could take them as members; and you have Evil Russian Alliance, which should be destroyed even with guys who just trade with them.

I dont know lol. In this world we fight Korean village, but we were to busy with the war to ask them what were the reasons. Perhaps there are some very-very evel nazi too, but i am definitely not the man who cares.

You have to also consider that most of these places end up revealed and end up a struggle between the two major clashing factions in the game. We leave you there long enough, this 'Russian alliance' of sorts will come take it over.

Not exactly. For example i use it to label Sodom/Pande only.
AD's propaganda said, that 4 world was wiped cause AD have gained significant advantage over Sodom. That's true in the sence that AD get billions lp by using bots, and devs disliked such state of affairs. I highly disregard using bots, and i do not like AD for this stuff, but i'm talking about another thing. "Anal friends of Jorbtar" means, that they have enought infuence on devs to convince them. So, if i will decide, that tobbaco seed bug is overpowered some alliance, that will remain my own opinion, but nice guys from Sodom could put the word in the right ear, and world would be wiped.

That's just one abstract example. I could again remember shit about 2 gold bars etc, but i thing everyone are quite tired of this story.

Yeah right, W4 got wiped because AD got more lp than anybody from Sodom. That's what I call paranoia. Maybe you should read the thread again where Jorb announced W5 and the reason for it.
And the shit about the gold bars is getting old, really. I said it before and I say it again: If Jorb or Loftar decides to reward somebody with a gold bar, a cape or whatever then that is their decision and you have no right to whine about it. You got a problem with that? Then send a pm to the devs and tell them that, talk with them about it and their reasons for it. If they feel a need to explain themselves to you they will do so, but I highly doubt it.

Besides it is very interesting how this thread runs off topic- again. First it was about racism, saying Burghingham is the big, bad nazi around here, hating all Russians in this world (which is by the way the stupidest thing I've ever heard), now we are talking about the war between AD and Sodom again, which by the way kinda ended with the end of W3.
There is no Sodom anymore, there is no AD anymore, so what the heck are we talking about here? Why can't you people move on, leave W3 behind you and enjoy the game? This is not about racism anymore, it's about jealousy!

And the statement about the Inner Party making the devs do anything? That was a good one. Take a deeper look here, devs do what they wanna do, when they wanna do it and how they wanna do it, nobody is telling them what to do. How many times have the mods requested updates, new animals etc. etc.? Countless times, as well as the whole community did. Did you see any of that come to life? No. Why? Don't know, ask the devs, they surely got their reasons for it. What the inner party does is testing stuff and making suggestions how things could be better or what things don't work at all, that doesn't mean that the devs are listening.
I remember a post from Jorb (don't remember in which thread though) where he stated that nobody is to touch his baby (the game) except for him or Loftar, which means that suggestions from the Inner Party are just that, suggestions, in the end Jorb and Loftar are the ones calling the shots here, nobody else.

Why is it necessary to bring an in-game war into the forums?

These are the 'sons of AD' taught everything about tactics by their masters Koya and co.

They have two main problems:
1)They clearly didn't learn to surpass their masters, something vital in growth.
2)Their forum tactics are just as bad as Koya and co, they just use alt accounts (lol Portgas) to avoid looking so publically stupid like Koya and co.
3)Ingame their tactics are just as inferior, they can kill all the nublets they want, but they're never coming to Pande, even with a bug, they'd get their shit punched.
