Lost in Translation? Koreans Attacking Japanese

こんにちは/Konnichiwa!

***Tonkyhonk is responsible for the translation below, fyi i am not one of the villager, but posting on behalf of Shogunate village***

This may not interest many of you, but here is a little drama that has been going on for the last few days. I hope some of you may enjoy it and maybe pity us for our lost cause.
*We did not take many screenshots in the past, did not think we would need any. Would still try to post what we have, please bear with us with the walls of text below.

-Introduction
It all started from this Ukrainian village and now it has turned into a major conflict between Korean players of RoK and Japanese players of Shogunate. We have talked, but they do not believe our story and they say that they are so sure that they have not made any mistakes. We are not sure if that is due to the language barrier or translation, or just one of them/us is a liar.

-The Ukrainians
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=17635
When we first read this thread, we didnt reply because we all knew they were the liars, and players in the neighborhood all knew THEY were causing troubles, none of us thought people would take it seriously. The coord they pointed was our old home, Shogunate, which consists of only Japanese players and no Russians.
We have no idea as to why they claimed us to be russians.

-Our Mission
Yes, we attacked them because they had been causing lots of troubles in the neighborhood, We couldnt let them continue griefing us all. We were griefed for a long time and have memorized them when we got griefed but couldnt do anything. A French told us they used to live there but the Ukrainians hit them and took it over and they had to leave. A Canadian told us he was having troubles with their griefing as well. We thought we should fight and destroy them. We memorized them and waited untill we thought we could stand up against them. It was March 26th that we finally took them down.

-We are both Asians!
Since the Ukrainians made the above thread, many players we dont know and these Korean players living nearby started coming to our village, checking around. At first we tried not to be in their way, because we did nothing wrong, and also we did not want to make any troubles against Korean neighbours, we are after all real neighbours in real life, kinda like familiar feeling there.

-The Attack

On March 31st, however, when one of our villagers passed by them on a boat near our village, one of them with a bandit mask and a sword on started charging him (I think it is "charge" but not sure, the attacked said he heard the coin sound ringing from afar and got aggroed). We tracked the scent from this attack and found out that was by those Koreans. At 16:00(4 pm) that day, 5 or 6 of them came to our village, hid themselves back, all dressed in bandits mask and necro robes, armed with weapons. They started shooting us with bows from outside our walls. all villagers in sight were shot and one was killed.

-The Wrath

We could not just leave them be. About 8 hours later, April 1st 00:00 am(midnight) we gathered the scents to track the perps and arrived at their new village RoK where they were moving to. We checked from 4 directions and made sure. They had another village of RoK which was their old one very close to us and we had known their existence. While checking that place as well on the way, there was a char in a nettle set and a spruce hat outside the walls at their old RoK, this char was memorized by us so we killed him. Maybe that was a mistake because it was after all a too-easy kill. They had all walled up the place and all gates were shut at that time, we could not get inside.

-Underestimation

But they did not give us any time to think of a next plan. At 00:40, they came attacking us straight away, we hurried back to our village, tried to fight back, but we were out-numbered and none of us had much combat experiences and lost horribly, one died with our most valuable equipments. we managed to drop combat and ran away. At 15:43, a few inside the village got attacked again by the Korean ranged fighters with bows. At 22:00, we decided to flee before they could destroy our walls with the ram they had built

-Another Bad Choice We Made

We have to admit that it was not too smart of us that we joined Asuka, another Japanese village, while our scents are still valid. Asuka was a big village on w4, but this one on w5 is not. they kindly accepted us only to have brought them into this mess to our sorry...The Koreans came, chasing after us all over more than 3 SGs away after the long server crash.

-And Now

They have built up a ram to destroy Asuka's walls.

We have talked, but for some reasons they insist that we have killed 2 of them INSIDE their walls on March 31st, at 03:00(GMT+9) and they also insist that we stole the dead farmer's silk, which we never did. We didnt even manage to get inside their walls.
They believe in themselves too much that they would not believe there could be some misunderstanding or mistakes here. They only laugh at us saying we were lying - we are not.

-What? a Trick?

Today, one of our alts logged in inside ex-Shogunate, and saw this runestone. Let us swear by Buddha that we did not make this runestone. We learned that this was indeed a trick made by the Ukrainians or someone else who knew what has happened.

-First Attempt of Diplomacy Failed

One Korean player who is not from RoK tried to help us for a diplomatic solution, but he gave up because what they insisted and what we said never matched at all and could not find any solutions.

-from RoK- (translated from Korean to Japanese, and to English)
When we were moving to our new village, we were attacked and got killed and stolen a lot of stuff. We tracked the scents and reached Shogunate.
2 dead, a merchant robe, silk thread 24+ and large chests were stolen.
Shogunate is a village of criminals and other villages also have already put bounty on them. Asuka should not try to protect such criminals like Shogunate, or we would have to take it as you asking for a battle. You should return what was stolen and kill the murderers to pay for the price. If Asuka cannot kill the criminals, make sure to exile them from the village. Please excuse me for writing such a rude note to you, but this is to avoid the potential war, I hope you understand the reasoning.

-from Shogunate- the list of facts
1) Shogunate did take down an Ukrainian village because of theircontinuas crimes.
2) The Ukrainian village did put bounty on Shogunate, claiming Russian criminals, on the forum.
3) Shogunate did not reply to that thread because it was an obvious lie.
4) Koreans living nearby suddenly attacked a passer-by Japanese.
5) Shogunate tracked the scent and reached RoK, tried to attack them but lost.

-from RoK-
1) We were attacking that Ukrainian village too.
2) Koreans know Shogunate is a Japanese village.
4) A player stole a boat while we were attacking the Ukrainians, so we took him as one from Ukrainian village and attacked.
5) We were attacked, so we gathered all fighters and fought back.

-from Shogunate-
Shogunate hit Ukrainians on March 26th and took them down.
Who else besides the Ukrainian village have put any bounty on Shogunate if you were also fighting those Ukrainians?
The Japanese attacked by Korean on the river did not steal a boat. (rather, we got our boats stolen too many times instead by the one we killed.)
Shogunate killed one player OUTSIDE the walls in nettles who was memorized by us, but we did not kill 2 INSIDE, nor we managed to get inside the walls because all the gates were shut, we did not have anything to build a ram with at that moment and had to leave when you started attacking our village.

The warm-hearted Korean translator stopped replying, his last note was to deal ingame because they would not negotiate at all.

-The End? We Hope Not,
but Our Chance Scarce as Hen's Teeth

thank you for reading.

Their ram near Asuka walls will be drying soon. It will be dried approximately at 1:50 pm our time, so probably 4:50? am by GMT.(we do not use day saving hours, please caluculate without it.)
We have nothing more that we can do but flee. We have lost. Some of us are already dead. We do not like to be killed by a stupid mistake. We will be exiled from Asuka as soon as the LS of Asuka logs in hoping that the Koreans may not try and attack the innocent Asuka villagers.

We might try to record a vid on their attack into Asuka and post the link here, but thats IF we can make it in time, which is not a very convenient time for both koreans and japanese...Monday afternoon, you know what it is like.

Hmm, if they are entirely unwilling to settle this with words, can you not settle this with concessions or with just battle? I can't predict their motives or the extent of their attack but perhaps you can appeal to them to fight you on a battlefield rather than through guerrilla tactics and with the destruction of your home. No matter what, things will be lost and blood will be spilled but at least you could reduce the damage done to both sides of the conflict.

5) Shogunate tracked the scent and reached RoK, tried to attack them but lost.

It doesn't matter what happened before this point.

You attack a village. You fail. Now you get to taste some vengeance.

Looking forward to more screenshots.

Just because people can build a palisade around a ram doesn't mean they can follow through with the raid that comes.
