AD is still around, just lost most of it's numbers. The last I heard there were three factions squabbling over a cave that may or may not have access to silver. Seems to me they've still got those miners working overtime.

The other part of AD got bored because they couldn't bot and decided to deforest the world. They gave up within a week I believe.
