Terrowin?

After what seemed like fruitless hours hunting today, I came across something some what out of the ordinary for the area I usually patrol, an assault scent floating above the water ahead of me. As I moved further upstream I laid my eyes on the apparent victim of this crude act, almost hidden for the battery and theft scents surrounding their body. Cautiously i retrieved the assault scent from back down the river and used it to check if the perpetrator was still online. My mind set at ease when it appeared they were not, I moved in to further investigate the situation. Strangely I was unable to find any murder scents in the vicinity, whether a second individual with far higher stealth was involved, or the assailant moved to a distance to execute the finishing blow, I am unsure.

Anyway bored as I was due to my unsuccessful hunting endeavor I decided following the scents could serve as a suitable distraction whilst I surveyed the forest from my boat for vulnerable wildlife. My travels first lead me past Taar, my initial suspect in the case, But to my disappointment, and maybe a little relief, The trail continued north. After a long cross country slog, I found myself back on the river. (No wonder I had no luck hunting down south, in short stretch between the two bodies of water I came across 4 boar and 3 herds of deer, with another further upstream as well) Working my way suspiciously close towards the next large settlement I had noticed on the world map. It seemed sure that this was where the scents would lead, and I soon found myself in the village of Gardar, but still the trail continued on.

I followed the scents north until eventually I found myself at another dead end lake. After a quick consultation of the map I decided to leave my boat here, as there were very few rivers left before the map edge, and I hoped I would reach my goal before then. As I strode through the forest periodically checking the scents, the direction was becoming far more responsive now, I approached a single log cabin with numerous hearthfires outside it, the trail seemed to lead directly to them, maybe my journey would reach its bloodied conclusion here. But no, it was wishful thinking. As I rounded the camp to check the scents it became apparent that this was a simple hermitage, so on my journey went. However I soon found my path blocked by a palisade, a runestone by the gate labeled the place as "Terrowin" if memory serves, working my way around the border I realised that this was it, from the northern edge the scents directed me straight to Timber house in the centre of the complex.

Sadly after a brief scout of the wall no holes could be found, and I had not come equipped to take down a palisade. I returned sullenly back to my boat and returned ported back home. All in all, a great distraction from hunting, and the 5 flotsam I picked up on the way were the icing on the cake. But does anyone know who lives here? Seems an awfully long way for them to travel just to swat lowbies, though i suspect some of the theft scents I picked up earlier could be attributed to teh same individual.

tl;dr
murder at (55, -30), perp at (79, -103) any story behind it or just random killing?

Don't knock nosy noobs. Nosiness is the source of half the drama on this forum. And noobs are responsible for most of the rest.

Without threads like this, what would we do while we wait for the water to boil in our cauldrons?
