A memorial to the fallen of Prenia

Postby Sevenless » Mon Jun 06, 2011 3:51 am

For the backstory, it will be short but sweet. I ok'ed two of my fighters to join the raid on Taar. The west had become a wasteland of corpses due to their raiding. Every day we would find new towns destroyed, each spawn set of nabs we'd find dead within a day or two.

The raid was successful as we all know, but it was not without costs. Why my town was chosen to be hit is a mystery to me, but still. A 10 man raiding party swarmed in using the chair bug. Bask died by summons and ohai was overwhelmed before he even saw them coming. They proceeded wreck everything within sight.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd server reboots to fix the bug.

It probably saved lives, and it certainly saved our town from even further damage. Nothing we would have lost would have been worth the lives of my comrades however. Today we erected a memorial in their honour. Apologies about ohai's descendant, he's a bit touchy about the event.

He was one of 20+ people on the raid. Not to mention he had scents in the cellar itself used to summon over there. He would have died to summons either way.

I'm so glad my new main spawned in the South East, though my 1st main is still alive in a town near the Las Vegas vault.

That's how three of our people died when we got raided, internal village scents.

There's a story behind me falling asleep and waking up to my australian village mate having claimed LS and named the town without the consent of anyone else. But that's for another time.
