Hiring someone to raid the Horde

Postby Horatius » Fri Jul 15, 2011 4:55 pm

So...
Until about two days ago my little village was a rather quiet place. We even had a few refuges and newbies settle nearby and helped them get a foot in this area. A friendly neighbourhood developed around here with no problems ever, aside from a small theft by an unknown person. We heard of other villages being raided or rams appearing at their walls, however, we had always been untroubled by such things.

But two days ago a mob of about 10 people hugged the outside of our brickwall. From what I heard they were not equipped very well. Mostly bronze swords, bronze plates, bearcapes, necro robes, etc.. Some didn't even wear bronze plates as far as I was told. Still, it was 10 troublemakers and only 2 people were online from my small village at that time. So me and the farmer who was online beside me thought it best not to get involved with these people at all. I decided to track scents from another village meanwhile and he was afking in his house a bit and watched what happened outside the walls from time to time with an alt.
However, a korean guy from the nearby refuge village decided to have a chat with one of the raiders. At this point of the story, You must know that aside from the plundering mob there was also another russian guy in a boat outside our walls. And it would seem that he was waiting there to trick us with a trade offer. He wanted to buy a sling from us to either get us outside or check out his quality. Maybe his trade offer was even genuine but either way it seems highly suspicious because he already had a bow equipped and obviously 10 thugs were roaming around in our lands the same moment he showed up. So I told him we don't sell anything and went back to tracking scents while my farmer continued to watch the boat guy and the korean chatting - which seems to have highly amused him.

Anyway...
the mob showed up a little bit later again and left some assault scents by thundering my farmer and also using some skills on the korean. My farmer returned to his house and the korean guy could fortunately escape somehow. When we were sure that they were gone I scouted the area for signs of their activity. And I soon discovered that they had murdered a hermit who lived a bit north of us (the poor guy moved in 2 days ago and was already struck down by raiders, even though he did not settle close to water :p).

I was thinking about hiring a ranger at that point already but I dropped the idea soon after. The next day I tracked their scents to this village named "Horde":

It looks rather shabby imho. Decaying palisade walls, stuff randomly strewn all over the place and murder scents inside. But unfortunately two brickwalled town blocks. But still... most are just palisaded. So a raid could at least wreck their whole place back to the stone age.

But like I said, I had given up on the idea of hiring rangers until I found this today:

The LS of the korean village said it was a warning. But... we did absolutely nothing to anyone - ever. So this is not a warning, it is a fucking declaration of war.

And now we get to the tasty part.

I'm willing to pay 5 pearls (q10) to the person or group who lays waste to their shitty little village. I'm aware you won't be able to break their brickwalls but I'm more than happy to see some of them dead and all their stuff in pieces.

You must proove your deeds with screenshots here in the thread and I will supply scents to summon some of them. Unfortunately I only have a couple of scents, so I will hand them out to rangers that I can trust (those with a reputation on this forum if some of them are interested). Payment will be handled afterwards. I'd prefer idol jumping with an alt to deliver the pearls to you.
Also, please be quick about the business. I don't want them to have much reaction time.

Their village is located here:

It seems the korean guy was also talking to the russian boat guy today:

Please, let them have the adrenaline they love so much.

Thank you.
I'm still ashamed and embarrassed about my last post. There are many small reasons but no real excuse for what I said in the end. All that remains is regret because I won't be able to make up for it again.

See you in a different game maybe. Hopefully without retardation from my side.

It's only pali but you're talking about needing a group of 20 people minimum to raid them (because their group is somewhere between 15-50 people, don't know numbers, but at least 15), and numbers mean a lot, you also need to protect the shit out of your palibasher while he palibashes all those fucking plots to break all that shit. Overall a very long mission, wouldn't do it for under 20 pearls.

I heard (hearsay) Headshot lived with Badich, but who knows. I don't believe RUA has direct ties to the Horde.
