by Vigilance » Mon Aug 08, 2011 3:21 am A while back, I had the pleasure of meeting Mithos. A respectable fellow who knew his place and had far greater manners than I've encountered in this game. When I brought it up on skype chat, that I had met Mithos, someone told me to kill Eddard Stark. For once, I didn't want to spoil my association with my new friend, so I had a chat to figure out just who Eddard Stark was. From the explanation I received, he sounded like a hard-working fellow who was a little rough around the edges and rude at times. I was told to leave him alone blablabla boring filler.
Recently, however, I had been tipped off by a villager of Yggdrasil that Eddard had been a little grouchy recently, and getting on the nerves of almost everyone. Mithos and I had an idea. I told him that I'd be afk for a while to get full trad (booo...) and would need something to do in the mean-time. He and I agreed that it'd be an interesting little experiment for me to start an alt in his village, and so Tyrant was born. I was alive for but five minutes until Eddard showed his true, lazy stripes. Mithos kindly asked him to show me the mine (which eddard had claimed with his miner alt) and eddard ignored him. Mithos had to ask twice before ed finally walked in to the mine, expecting me to follow (sorry ed but new alts don't have trespassing right off the bat)
After this mine was sorted out, Eddard was told to get me gear. He didn't, and it fell upon a farmer and a tailor to get me the mining gear my alt needed. This frustrated Mithos, and myself even. Ten minutes after I had received my gear, eddard ran up and gave me a pickaxe, and said 'if you lose it, i'll be mad.' Mithos attempted to chew ed out for how ed didn't listen to him, and was met by ed claiming that he did everything and oh boohoo weepweep I work so hard.
The next day was one of the days that we have our 'meetings.' Everyone gathered around mithos and we discussed village matters. Nothing interesting happened at this meeting, so I'll skip ahead to afterward.
I brought it up to mithos that ed's hearthfire blocked his log cabin to prevent people going inside (which, on top of him p-claiming his lot and not giving anyone permission, irritated me) and we both agreed it needed to change. Mithos gave ed five minutes to move his hearthfire. Minutes passed by (two exactly) before Ed moved his hearthfire to an even worse position-- inside of his cabin blocking movement. (like that made it any better!
) At the two minute remaining mark, ed said over village chat some garbage about moving his hearthfire being too much for him, and if he moved it at all it'd be outside of the village.When the five minutes were up, mithos and I knew what we had to do, an intervention. I was oathed over, and quickly ran to ed and locked him in aggro. We had a nice talk, and mithos got to finally vent his anger towards ed. Feeling rather generous, I told eddard that if he survived five of my stings, he would get to live and go elsewhere. It took 3 stings before he fell, cold and dead.
