vandals and theives of ashwater

Postby saltmummy626 » Sun Aug 21, 2011 4:25 am

recently while getting clay, I discovered an unclaimed abandoned place. on this place was a meat grinder. the grinder reminded me that a few local nubs who lived nearby had been talking to me about the fact that they had no meat grinder and that the clay was too hard to find. my boat was full, so I couldent take it back to them, so I dropped off my boat and went on the short, leisurely stroll over to there place. what I found was a settlement that had been thoroughly sacked. no death or assault anywhere, but theft and vandalism aplenty. I still want to talk to these friends of mine about what happened, but I did track the scents for them. and they lead to a village between the edge of the world and what I believe is one of the nuked areas. this village was called ashwater. I need a bit more info on this place and its residents. unfortunately, I don't have the strength or manpower to make the kill myself. all of the scents where left by one person. if a representative of the village would like to step forward and speak up, then I would be willing to listen to the perps side of it. if he is just a nub, then he may be forgiven, if not then I may have to go out when he is online and break him. thank you for your time, and also screenshot evidence.

[edit] its not as clear as Id like it to be, but down on the bottom you can see the words "this land belongs to ashwater"

It just so happens that I visited the same village last night after picking up some vandalism scents from the same low-level area you mentioned. It appears that the member in question is building a new brick-walled area to the west of the noobie claim he vandalized, but it is not yet finished if you want to try a quick hit and run.

I should, but its taken long enough for the robbed guys to respond, the theft scents are gone, but not the vandalism...

I think you given enough buffer time for them but you also gave them enough time to prepare for you, be careful.

An enemy will only fight if he believes he either has a chance to win, or you've backed him into a corner and he's fighting for his life. A completely crushing victory provides an enemy with neither.

oh definetly. but I did get some info. something about the people at ashwater kicking the thief out. either way, the people he robbed have quit, and they cant pay me if they quit. so yeah, I prolly did let way to much time go by. laziness will probably be my downfall. I wait too long, so I can be sure and opporunity passes me by. there was only one perpetrator so im sure the village itself isn't to blame.

Some new information on this:

Over the last few days this player has established his brickwall, and is running wild. Only 4 of us are playing in our current claim, and two of those are brand new to the game, but there are a number of other low-med level characters scattered about our area. Two days ago he murdered one of our green players while he was feeding the kiln, and it appears that late last night/early this morning the vandal/thief murdered another of our low-level friends by shooting through our walls, killing him in two shots (so he's not that high level). The perpetrator is located at -107, 84 on the map. We have the murder scents, but our efforts at hiding a ram nearby for use tonight failed (not to mention we probably don't have the strength to quite break the wall down by ourselves).

Anyone that can break that wall down in a short time please feel free to PM me. We aren't terribly high level, but we can probably work something out for payment. This fellow has been stealing/murdering any low-level character he can find in the region, so he needs to go, and he usually isn't on during the limited hours I can devote to the game for tracking him. Thanks.

the only hope of getting at him is to catch him online outside his wall. *shakes head* I should have acted faster. welp, first one to take him out gets his stuff. the chase is on.

[edit] oh yes, it would be great to know, what country you live in and an estimate of time of when the attacks occured. you dont have to put this info up where everyone can see it, you can send me a PM. this info is good becuase I can narrow down when the criminal is online by that.
