It really does take a long time (4 days) so be wary of that if you buy it, and plan your curios accordingly throughout it's time.

4 days and 4 hours to be exact, as well as using 23 attention and taking up 4 slots.

Also, a side note, troll hides take a week to dry and a week to tan.

So if you had such gear and a troll skull, after its ponderation you would be able to pump a skill from 1 to 200? That is something.
