Feel free to PM me with the map of where you are and I`ll drop by with some seeds (if you are in a same supergrid at least). Free of charge. We, hermits, got to look out for each other :D

Hammer, come get your carrots before they`re eaten. My guys have already drooled on them a little.

Haha :D Textbook error, translating "my" as "belonging to me" out of its context.
I feel like this thread is going to grow way out of topic, with all the long-winded hermit essays and grammar lessons.

Let's have it renamed to hermit cooperative !

Also, as a hermit what would you specialize in to trade HQ stuff to bigger cities ? Milk ? Linen ? Silk ? Forageables ? Assuming you're not a rich hermit standing on a HQ water/clay/soil node and trading that for a living...

Silk is best. Gives you a feeling of a decent trader not some dirtdigging-forager.

Well, I don't care so much about feeling like a cat gold smuggler :D.

My main concern would be 1) limiting the time investment and 2) restricting as much as possible the consumable quality prerequisites to produce quality stuff. For instance, producing wood requires both water and soil while producing milk only requires seeds (to my knowledge)

I don't understand why it causes problems for you. Every person in my village understand necessity of this rule. Inhabitants show trust to new comer by giving him access to collective property. New comer then must show trust to inhabitants. Otherwise spongers will appear which will do nothing than using collective property and consume curiosities and food.
Regards, Ivan Flamberg.
There are rangers who help people who has been raided. Do they care about justice? Hell, no. They just hide their blood thirst behind white clothes.

This show of trust is absolutely useless without regard to what is actually stored on collective claim and on that person`s own claim. Oh, I trust you so much, look, I can even give you the keys of my empty log cabin. None of this prevents person from "sponging". If you want to continuously rob village of the good stuff to take off with it later, you make a plot in same supergrid away from a village and store it there. Alternatively, you use alt for that. Any number of ways to make use of that treasured collective stuff.

Ok, let us pretend for a second that this show of trust does in fact have some merit.
You give newcomer access to collective property - cool, he can not only take, but also contribute to it. Every person in a village contributes to it, and then they all share what they amassed. So my share is basically a miniscule portion of every villager`s labor. Now, here comes my plot. A property I should trust with everyone as a good villager... but oh, I only share it with one person, the lawspeaker. For what reason? :) Does he contribute as much as all the villagers put together? I guess not? So why on earth should he be the only one with the keys to someone else`s claim? :)
