village Silverus Trade

Postby Kirfkin » Tue Apr 05, 2011 5:10 pm

Chieftain Kirfkin of village Silverus here.

I am wanting to trade for a small quantity of Poppyseeds, perhaps one seedbag full or so. Also wanting decent curios, quality isn't the biggest deal there.

I can trade, without question, any of the other seeds/crops.

Beets: ~Q50
Carrots: ~Q30
Hops: ~Q30 - Haven't bothered with beer yet, so they're sort of stagnated right now.
Grapes: Approaching ~Q40
Wheat: ~Q30-40
Onions: Probably ~Q30 max. Someone got their grubby hands on our first onions awhile back, so I had to start basically at Q1 because they planted with awful farming skill.
Peas: ~Q30-35
Tobacco: Ugh... Haven't harvested in a bit. Probably Q30 then, I'd assume.
Tea: Fairly bad. Potter hasn't made my requested kettles and mugs, so already quite-back stocked.
Peppercorn: ~Q20 I think? Can work on boiling you and Querning some. Haven't bothered with a peppermill til we get a larger crop.

I can travel easily to get:
Q60-65 Soil
Q40-46 Water, as well as ~Q30 I believe

Other Items:
~10 or 18 wool for immediate trade; can give a clover so you can discover wool from a wild mouflon to be able to use it.
Linen cloth: Q25-28 or so. Building newer, better loom now!
Vapeynetru: Q20-24. Limited. Would need some time to get your more, our sheep need to have more sex.
Cutthroat Cuirass: ~Q20 Yum.
Hardened Leather: Can work on getting you ~Q20-25 max.
Wax: Only Q10-11 for offer right now as I have a moderate stock of it; working on replacing the old, bad beehives with new, fancy ones that give far better wax and honey.
Any Regular leather armors/Boar helm. haven't made them lately, but I can do so fairly easily.
Some low quality, basic metal items.
Straw Dolls: Q27-30. Fair backstock as it is.
Straw Hats, Chefs Hats ~Q30-32
Gauze: ~Q12

Things I Wish I Could Offer, But That Guy In Our Village is a Douche:
Cast Iron, Q15
Wrought Iron, Q15 I'd assume
Steel, Q15 I'd assume
It'd be so convenient if something happened to him.

Coming Soon:
Tin, Bronze
Copper... don't know the Quality unfortunately, but I can make our newer miner get some more.
Cast Iron - same as above
Wrought Iron - Same as above, probably just a bit longer.
Chainmail!
Wine, Grapejuice, Vinegar. Have some. Not trading quite yet.

Location: Far Northwest; please PM for more details. It's likely that I or an alt will travel to you when we get time. Or I will get someone else to travel to you.

Freebies: None yet, really. But there'll be stuff I'd rather give away than throw out at some point, I'm sure.

Edit: Accidentally said NorthEast. More northwest.

I do have poppy seeds, but no village idol for another 24 hours. If you don't have them by then, I'll see what I can do to hook you up.

lol, I don't blame that guy for not wanting to trade wrought iron and steel. That stuff is a beast to produce in trade quantities. Are you intending to turn this into a regular trade thread? I'd probably be willing to do some trading for farm related stuffs on a regular basis. You have, and probably always will have, a Q edge on my farm efforts from the sounds of it XD

It's not even that he doesn't want to trade, it's that he's an idiot. he disallowed everyone else in the village from his claim, takes stuff from other people (I don't control the main claim, someone else does... a good friend, and for some reason they refuse to do the same.) I don't see why he should be able to take the things I make... if he can't even give me a bar now and then to repair my plow. He made steel when we weren't even done creating CAST IRON goods. He pawns work off on others, and now refuses to help anyone else back, but his claim is too big for an easy village-declaim of it.

On the first day, since we played with him for a day last world, he ran around as we were exploring for our starting spot. I kept telling him to walk, but he said: "Lol it's fine" but then started complaining about food. Problem is, he had two alts who were doing it as well. he didn't help build anything, and refused to get his own food. No one listened to me when I said that we should leave him... But whatever. I have murder if things get too dicey, and probably 10-20x his combat stats. Or wait, he might have more melee than me. I think he was obsessing over making a soldier's sword that he wouldn't be able to do anything with.

Make the first Vapenetru: "Hey can I take this red cloth, you aren't using it." It's in my house. He already took it and had to run back after I told him no to return it. He took all of the early seeds and planted them with like no farming, ruining their quality, not all have recovered fully yet.

Oh well.

Murder sounds like a good idea.

Also I believe the QL of the crop is softcapped by the farmer, not the planter. I'll have to check it out.

It could be affected by both. Someone harvested a flax (I could tell. It was growing a day or two out of sync, in one square...) it ended up being Q12ish. My others were typically fairly close to 35-40. But planting does seem to affect it, too. I'll get someone with low farming to plant a random high level seed, then I'll harvest it and see what it ends up being.

I have a similar story from W3...

I remember back in W3 I was helping a settlement of about 6 newbies, and their leader did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No really, he was the only person asides from me that had enough PER*EXP to get WWW's, and because he "didnt want to look for them", he ahd roughly 90% of the villages sullies on his claim, and his village was starving until I got sick of it and went out to get some. Shortly after, he accused me of "stealing my bear tooth" when I didn't have access to his claim, and only had tresspassing. I also had the highest UA and attributes out of all of them, and after repeated wins in sparring with their leader, and other members, they tried to lure a boar in to kill me. It seemed to like me, since it KO'd 3 of them before I got bored and killed it. So, after that, I took all my stuff I had brought from my house(a little ways away that I still lived in) including all the seeds, and went back to my house to discover that a few of them were building a ram. I broke it, and then they ran away.

Much to my satisfaction, two weeks later they came to my house and begged for food.

Now on topic; I could spare some poppy seeds next harvest, but other than that all your trade thread was selling and not buying...

You know there's a guy who sounds like he's at the very least in a similar position to the one that's being described. And he's hiring mercs to kill everyone in the village via the Congress Forums. Take a read in case it's the same one lol.
