While the idea of offering services instead of goods is certainly one that should come up more often, this all seems very weird to me.

First off nobody is building fences, I hope your services include building palisades and brickwalls too. Second, 2 bread, 3 apples? Seriously? And then for a big wall pearl necklace or a backpack? It seems to be you need to get a better grasp on how much items are worth first before you offer such prizes.
