Guide on prices?

Postby ysbryd » Sat Apr 30, 2011 12:12 pm

Not sure if this is the right place, but can any of you seasoned dealers tell me the comparative value, if any of Jorbonzola and Midnight Blue cheeses with clay? All q 50 and above.
Thanks for your time.

Any requests for trade, I'm only trading for clay q60+ thanks

Q60+ clay won't be available for another week or two yet. Any village that has it is using it to upgrade their own equipment. If you found someone willing to trade, A) tell me, I will probably try to trade them more than you can. And B) I'd guess... maybe 30 slices of jorb for a 45 set? Cheese just takes time to make, it's not hard or rare to get it really.

Clay has relative value, earlier in the game world, more it's worth. That's why no one's even trading it yet. Anyone who's willing to trade can pretty much set their price right now.

Uh A) why the hell would I?
and B) i like the way you assume that you can produce better goods than I can, I have seen your shop, and yeah I can beat you on most items.

Aside from that it was a pure question of worth, we aren't using it much any more, there's only so much intel you need unless you're ranging, and its stockpiling, so thanks for your answer :)

Clay has relative value

Precisely my point, if you have just spawned and got lucky, which is more important to you, a q80 board...(I mean come on, 80?) or the guaranteed intel points of Jorbonzola?

And finally, you have your own thread, I'm sure if someone wanted to buy from you they would, and spamming other threads to try to make out that people would get a 'better deal' from you is a little bit sad.
IF anyone wanted anything in particular, then I would be able to supply it, through our own shop, (for example my own crafted bear capes are over q 135 now :D) with the exception of precious metals, I just didn't want anyone pming me with offers of crates of blueberries for cheese
And yes, if I come over as a little bit pissed at you there's a reason for that dear :)

*chuckles* Can't take anyone poking fun eh? There was a little bit of sarcasm involved in that post which you apparently missed. Although I agree int caps out in usefulness, STR from midnight blue does not. Part of the reason why I was being sarcastic is because cheese is like silk and steel. It takes time to make but it's not hard to make.

The real way to catch clay node holder's attention is high Q resources of other types. Although it's not realistic to talk about just making Q80 water or Q80 soil appear (I'd think those might be high enough to part a Q60 clay load from someone, might), minerals are another thing. Gold/Silver could probably even land you Q70+ clay. But a good solid Q50 iron node from lvl 5 sold in ore form might get you Q60 clay. I seem to think I saw another thread who got Q65 clay for something like that a week ago. Another item that might catch their eyes this early are pearls, but even volumes of high end curios other than pearls don't seem to interest clay holders yet.

On the personal attack you made: I don't really need to defend my thread. It's designed for low to mid level players. I wish I could trade bear capes for Q60 clay, but anyone with that Q clay is very likely to have better anyway.

Not quite sure what your problem is... mate... but I asked a simple question, and you wade in with dont trade with her trade with me... and then complain cos I reply that my stuff is better than yours?

And who said I was aiming at high end players anyway?
I am perfectly aware that the villages are way ahead of me, but they have their own people to look after.
There will always be a noob spawning on a node that no ones found... and while I dont want to do him out of the value of his claim, which is why I asked for rough price guides, I can also offer him something that is useful to him and that he wont be able to make for himself for a few weeks.

So in conclusion, stay out of my threads and I will stay out of yours, this is bad business practice, anyone who can get as far as this forum can also compare prices and goods for himself without you throwing your weight around. If they want to find you they will.

Oh and btw, thank you for all your advice on catching the eyes of the clay holders, its clearly working for you which is why you are jumping in my thread... says it all really
