Sick of trade threads requiring village idol

I'm sick of there being ZERO trade threads for players without village idols. If someone could make a trade thread for players with no village idols, I would appreciate it. Some musts to put in the trade thread are: metal ores (or at least the materials to make mine holes), some slings between q40 and q50 (to help combat newbies get started at combat), clay/bricks if they don't have a mudflat at least 75-100 tiles away from them, 1 bone saw & 1 stone axe between q40 and q50 each, some bones if they don't have a personal claim, the bear tooths and deer antlers to help them make a village claim when they're ready for it, and DEFINATELY a note that personal claims and no-claims are acceptable (but not village claims).

Some Requirements:
for personal claims: have yeomanry skill
for bear tooths and deer antlers: have lawspeaking skill
buy items that newbies are at least able to get at their skill levels, but not too common (example: a few stinging nettle for bones, not a few blocks of wood for bones)

I would love to sell my goods to any player
dont care how he will get to me, with idol jump or not
but the thing is not a lot of players lives close enough to my place for travel by boat

I am sure if you'll discuss this with sellers in PM, you will find the one not too far away from you, who will be ok with such trading

also I am sure you can find friendly neighbours to get things you mentioned
maybe even for free

You won't find anybody from your SG here.
Village Idol trading is the most fast and convinient way to exchange with any player on any distance.
Building village is not so hard task for a player, who have at least half of the brain, just try it.

Of course you can just post your coordinates on global map and see which sellers are close enough to you and is okay with that way of trading.

You want to walk over to my house and fill some barrels with water, I'll give you some leather. Hell, you get me the bricks for a wall and I'll find the wax, a decent axe, a saw and a sling too. But somehow I don't think you really want to do that much work.

If you don't have a idol. Pray to god your neighbors aren't assholes and would actually trade. Other than that, idols are 100% reccommended. Who wants to travel across the world to do a trade? You wouldn't

For the assholes who doesn't want to hunt curios here is a tip to trade between village.
It requires a village idol (only one) on one side, and on the other side : someone with ranging skill, and someone with a black skill.

Destroy your hf and left some summonable scents at your place (theft, battery or murder), your bro take it.
Then get invited to the trader village, do the trade. Then disconnect, ask your bro to summon you with criminal acts on, connect back in and you are at home

Though this way is quite unsafe if you don't have a brickwall, or anything to protect your scents from being picked up by any ranger :s

I do and whave traded with newbies in my area, provided you travel to me. I have done it before and will do it again (someone once took a 2 hour boat ride to me). I do agree with Vigi on the curios hunting trips. The said newbie who traveled 2 hours to buy some newbie stuff from me actually earned a profit. He found 3 flotsams on the way which is more than what he used to pay for the goods.

You might think this is a good idea, but 3 SG long trips for a Q50 sling is a waste of god damn time. My problem with trading is that people have troubles doing simple trades. I have no problem assembling the goods for trade when I want to trade, but it's really how much effort I have to do to do the trade, and it's rarely worth the effort if I can't just teleport there.

What is the point of this thread anyway? The OP make's no sense, why does someone having a p. claim matter in a trade? It's none of the traders business, and they shouldn't care. The point of trade is to get an item in turn for one of their items in turn for a profit. It dosen't matter who they're trading to. Why are you dictating what someone else should do, but not do your self. Just make a trade thread for the stuff you need, and let other people do what they want to do.

At these small scale level trades just trade with your neighbors.
