if you have a snake mining bot and understand how to straight mine, cant you just mod your snake mining bot??

i have tried to mod my bot but i cannot get it to work. i think what im missing it that i dont know how to get (x,y) example: mineTile(-1, 1); could anyone plz tell me how to fnd those coords plz.
