I have that... the screen goes black.

What you need to do is change your camera to fixator, then back to whatever you use, and the camera wil snap to your position.

I guess the new updates have some issues 'cause I've never encountered this bug until I got my new pc and a fresh clean ender's. (Had been using a custom ender without some original ender functions)
