If I attempt to play with the Mac OS it locks up, will not close, and prevents normal shut down.
I have been using Boot Camp with Windows 7 to play H&H's vanilla client.

You should update your Java on MacOSX and Win7 - urls with latest here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28086
With Windows7 you might use Ender client too - but be aware 32Bit Java + Ender 32 Bit or Java 64 Bit + Ender 64Bit
(no problem having both Java versions installed and have both Ender - you only need to point to the right Java version in the run.bat)
