Just open up the .png in an image editor, the text is stored in the nonimagedata file, which you can use notepad/notepad++ to edit. I find that the res_0 layer is the skill name, whereas res_1.nonimagedata is the actual skill description. The skills themselves as in the character sheet are located in *\res\gfx\hud\skills

As other people said, remember to use theTravs tool to decompile/encode it again. Also, you had the same idea as me, I'm guessing (Actually completing skill descriptions would help for the newbies).

I think I see your problem.

1: Extract the resUtil.rar file, a .jar should pop out.
2: Put the resUtil.jar (not .rar) into your haven directory (The same one with the havenres.jar)
2a: Alternitively, you could copypaste the res jar into another folder with it to keep the clutter down.
3: Run the resUtil jar. It'll take a while to extract the res file.

both are .jar

Haven resv5 is only filled with .class files that do nothing on their own.

make a new folder called reswork outside of Ender folder
copy haven-res.jar from Ender into it
get 7zip http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
unpack haven-res.jar with 7 zip into reswork folder
copy res folder content from unpacked haven-res folder into reswork folder
delete haven-res folder and haven-res.jar

copy havenResUtil_v5.jar into reswork folder and doubleclick it...

Not "open with Java Se ..." anything
