You guys clearly don't know what combat bots there are/were at least started to be developed and quite successfully tested. They would maybe not able to beat Nao or Valten anytime soon, but they will give every average warrior a pretty hard time. What makes them superior then is that I can run dozens of them at once.

Deleted my last post because it looked like I was supporting combat bots.

The only problem is they would have to keep up with
me, and in time would need something such as a
pathfinder, and if player implemented this would
involve something similar to shift movement. That
would mean everytime i turn i can kill another one
of your dozen+ alts because they would have to think
in order to realize when to re initiate a combat skill
and stop moving manually...

unless you spent years making them, they would always
be useless against anyone that's not standing still

This is where your thinking is wrong. A properly made bot can react and adjust itself dozens of times in a second (potentially thousands). If made right it'd just be able to out perform any human reaction.

Yeah, it doesn't need to stop before changing direction, and a bot can always shave off a couple of pixels on corners because a human has to take a bit more conservative path to avoid hitting obstacles.

An issue I noticed with the bots Burginham mentioned, which I curious as to how you (Potjeh, Astarisk) would fix. When the bots defense was lowered, it would try and recover it, even if it meant not breaking my defense bar. The bot would have to make decisions like this.. is it worth attacking through the opponenets defense bar, or trying to sting him? Is my enemy wearing a bear cape and CC, or a soldier helm and steel plate? Should I try and stall and wait for reinforcements, or try and kill him as fast as I can? These are decided based on the situation which you are fighting in - not the fight it's self.. things that are unrelated to the combat interface that appears when you enter combat with someone. How would a bot handle these? And on the topic.. I don't even think I should encourage using a bot for fighting.

I'm not talking full combat bot. Just pathfinding (*very* useful in movement combat) and prevention of getting hit on the move.

You mean very useful to make it so movement combat
is no more? if you realize what you're asking for, then
people would never break line of sight, and running
away would only mean that the person chasing you is
now moving as they continue to fight you, but they are
still fighting as if you were holding still... And the runner
would be hit moving instantly unless they took out all
skill required to PvP all together
