I need like a thorough step by step process to installing this on a mac. First I tried this:
EnderWiggin wrote:Your error indicates that you are missing some libraries. I don't know where to get those for mac, but if you have some other client working on mac, then you can just copy haven.jar and res folder from my 32bit client archive there and it should work. And add -r ./res to command file.

I copied my working Gilbertus client folder and replaced the haven.jar with Enders. I added the res folder, then added -r ./res as the 3rd and last line of code to run.command. It opened to the login screen, and seemed to login fine, but the second it connected to the server, the screen goes black, then closes another second later.

If anyone could please give me a clear step by step process, that would be greatly appreciated.

error:

That's because of the way "start" works in Win7 - I had a LOT of trouble trying to make it so the console window for the Java doesn't show anymore, and it just isn't doable.

Your best bet is to remove "start" from the line, and just have it begin with "c:\"... etc.etc. exactly as you have it.

Sorry.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

You can do some kind of modification to the fullscreen mode to be in 1024x768? i know that the client is not for using fullscreen as it have zooming and rezising, but even in vanilla H&H i have this problem

I really dont want to bother you with complicated editing, but i like the exploring part of the game, and having a wider range of view would be a really big change for me, that im limited to the tiny vanilla screen

Edit, i have Wxp x32

Regular fullscreen is -- tricky -- with everyone - if it won't work in Vanilla client it won't work in any other client either because it's part of how Fullscreen displays stuff.

Just settle for windowed and maximize it to your full screen size, you'll have the title bar and the start menu and all those but you should still have good playability.

Do not add it as a 3rd line - add it after a space to the end of the 2nd line.

Well, no error messages anymore, but nothing else happens either when I launch run.bat

The problem i have is that playing in normal non fullscreen mode, my game is unplayable. I waste a minute and a half to open the game, go to the options window, and turn it fullscreen

Update. Changes:
  • removed going AFK
  • fixed buddy window not showing on CTRL-B
  • fixed object-on-cursor right-clicking (farming, adding fuel, etc.) when zoomed

As for 'start' in bat file - I'm running Win7 x32, and I use start. So error should be somewhere else. Try adding path to java into PATH environment variable and then use bat-file from my archive.

Is it just me or does the client take 100% (50% if you have a dual core, 25% if you have a quadcore) CPU all the time?
Also when I minimize the Client for a short time it becomes really unresponsive for about 30-60sec after reopening it.

That fixed it perfectly, thanks.

Nice work! :)

Ender can you add version number :?:

second - can you add natives for other OS-s?

50% of cpu used on my system too - i think its normal to java.

P.S. please add hotkey to return to default screen size:)
also on some level of zooming - some actions not working check it please.
