It's not like the auto hearth feature was the only thing ruining the spirit of the game. I'm sure these guys got no issues with working themselves around a certain map to help increase their successes of raiding... People just want to choose what they like and dislike. Raiders like the map, farmers hate it. Farmers like the idea of auto hearth, and hate the map. It's all subjective and everyone will use any advantage given to them. This by far was not the only abusable mechanic client wise, just one that was willing to be released. I'd rather see siege mechanics addressed sooner than the fix of auto hearthing.

Show me a successful competitive MMO that doesn't lock down their client to some degree.

Haven is wide fucking open. It doesn't bother you (as the guy who spent weeks designing the art for the game) that every single screenshot is a zoomed out mess of red blobs and grid lines? Really?

He quoted me saying exactly that, so I think he gets it.
EDIT: Sorry, I think I am confused and tired.

Show me any damn MMO that isn't being botted and that doesn't have alternative clients.

its not quite balanced, because even the littlest things can determine your death. i can go on in private if you'd like about my reasoning behind this and how aggressors have the upper hand-- i've seen plenty of that action to know. :P

Start practicing, i showed you the basics.. and
how to practice. defenders will always hold the
advantage because you have to get close to
them, and if they know what they're doing well
enough they can make getting close lethal

Dont you know nothin? you act like all defenders
are retarded and will run in a straight line forever
with no obstructions or actions to slow down or
halt their attackers o.O

% of users who use alternative client in WoW is like 2%.

% of users who use alternative client in H&H is like 98%.

Nothing strikes you about this?

That most people want to play in more than 800x600 resolution? I use Ender's client myself. Are you really insisting that I can force people to use the vanilla client by not releasing the client source code, despite the fact that I have informed you that it doesn't matter whether I release it or not? :)

I just think the release of a timer on hearthing and logging out needs to be waited on a bit longer. The game is already pretty one sided, why make it even more so?

Other MMOs are capable of combating most botting and exploitation through client security. How is it that you're simply not capable of this?
