Can you please check if there are any error messages in the console and post them?

Hey everyone, this sounds strange but how do i open this client? do i need to paste it into my ender's client?

when i make an run.bat with the
java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar maid.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

and i then open this in cmd it says this :
DNS server not authoritative for zone

the same thing happend when i tried out groovy client and checked it with cmd but atleast that opend and when i tried to login it said connection refused connect.

Try this:
Code: Select all
java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar maid.jar 178.63.100.209 -r ./res

Pasting into Ender`s is not needed. Just download the appropriate zip and extract it somewhere.

EDIT:
Googling for "DNS server not authoritative for zone" suggests that you may have some configuration issues on your system.
Try running windows update, maybe that will fix it or perhaps some registry repair utility...

got any other ideas how to fix it? because i checked on some other computers ( at school ) and it had the same problem there.
is there maybe an previous version i can try out ?

and i am supposed to run the game trough a run.bat file right?

im using avast anti virus
and my home computer is not part of any intranetwork or network

could this maybe help somehow?
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=21910

Firefox is 32 Bit only (they stopped maintaining a 64 Bit version some time ago)
your Java is 32 Bit too -> (x86) is for 32 Bit Programs
so you should use the 32 Bit Anemone client
try with this run.bat:
Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar maid.jar 178.63.100.209 -r ./res
pause

make exceptions in Windows Firewall for TCP port 1871 and UDP port 1870

pause argument leaves the CMD window open to look for error messages
if the client starts without errors and runs fine just delete the line containing pause

If you want to use the 64 Bit Anemone you need to install 64 Bit Java first
(no Problems to have both as 64 Bit Java installs at Prrogram Files - in run.bat you tell which one to use)

hey thanks :) that changed some things.

I was able to portforward the port 1870 but not 1871 because it said that the port was invalid or something.

when i open it with cmd it starts normally
and then it stopts and gives the default cmd command line but returns this sentence :
DNS name does not exist.

when i remove the pause cmd seems to run normally

i am still unclear on how to run the custom client though..
do i need to open the maid.jar if i have my .bat file filled in correctly?

because when i open the maid.jar nothing seems to happen.. opening the groovy.jar says "A java exception has occured "

Hey romovs.

Would you implement something to write in a file the image name of the hearthling current position?
