Try forum search feature to look for other messages with "connection refused" ?

Im having the same issues as Daemon2797

I guess I'm basicly still lost. There are a ton of links to Ender's client and I can't tell what is the current version. I downloaded the x32 client from odditown. I've editied the run.bat file to this:

Code: Select all
start C:\~\jre\bin\javaw -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
pause

The tilda is a replacement for the personal named folders where javaw is located, so isn't really in run.bat.
When I click run.bat the screen blinks and then shows a DOS window where the pause has happend. Pushing any key closes the DOS window and nothing further happens. It never shows me a log in screen. Help?

I've checked the flowchart too, so here I am...

Mmm, yea. ... seems Mqrius has been cleaning up some things. As the flowchart is missing.
Problem(1) here is that you 'Start' haven in a new (completely separate) process. As that's what the default use of "START" will do. ... BUT that new process has no 'Pause' in it and will close automatically -> taking with it any information about why it failed. :|
Problem(2) is that javaw.exe is not suppose to output any information (other than probably a exit error value), as for that the java.exe version is intended.
So (1) ditch the 'Start' part in your start-up bat file, and (2) switch to 'Java.exe' ... to get a hold of the error messages that might have been outputted.
(After the problem is cleared up or fixed, you could change those two points back if you like.)

added simple haven wiki browser. Accessible through X->W. You can use input field to enter search request or drag icon from lower-right menu to open search results for this item. Left click on link opens in same tab, right click - in new tab.

all by yourself?

you know thanks/credits is something usually done to show the work other people contributed

Kinky, have you ever checked that source? How many of your code left there? Only a bit of parsing left. All other things - loading, formatting, displaying, working links - all done from scratch.

Kinda rude to to call him rude without waiting for his answer on your question. Means the question is actually hypothetical and you already made up your mind about it.
(And that's also all I'm going to say on the subject.)

Download ender client from the first page in this thread. That is the latest version. Also, remove start from the run.bat and make sure the C:\ .... java.exe part is in quotes.

Postby IanTalbot » Fri Aug 05, 2011 5:05 am

I am having a number of problems with your custom client Ender. First and foremost, ever since I started running your custom client to try connecting to Haven and Hearth I have been getting memory leaks in other programs, namely svchost.exe, msfeedssync.exe, and on three occasions now winlogon.exe. The first two I can fix easily but the third is debilitating to the point of having to force a shutdown and reboot in order to fix it.

Second, your modified client has a tendency of crashing my internet connection for whatever reason, whether it be because your client causes a memory leak or because the way it handles data ends up overwhelming my connection and thus requires me to reconnect to my apartment complex's network. It's infuriating, especially since it does this to the point where I can't even play Haven and Hearth half the time.

If you must know, I run Windows XP SP2 on a heavily-upgraded Compaq Presario 5250, with a Pentium 4 Willamete 1.5GHZ processor, 768 MB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE 256 MB video card. My internet connection is WiFi based and normally I don't have problems because of it. In fact, I'd have to say that your client, save for the now near-constant memory leaks, works efficiently around 50% of the time. The other 50% it crashes my internet connection.

I just thought I'd let you know. I'm looking into the NVIDIA fixes but unfortunately I cannot find what I am supposed to fix for this game, probably because it doesn't exist on my card or is worded differently. Anyways yeah, I hope there is something that can be done about this.

I'm getting an error when i click run I have the files in the exact location as he said in his post.
Windows cannot find '-Djava.library.path="C:\Games\Haven and Hearth"

Here is what my run says.
.\updater\HnH_updater.exe
start "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Djava.library.path="C:\Games\Haven and Hearth" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se

I can delete the " after the javaw.exe and i get an error...
Windows cannot find 'and'. Make sure you have typed the name...etc

I change the run and file name in my games folder to HnH it looks like this..
.\updater\HnH_updater.exe
start "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe -Djava.library.path="C:\Games\HnH" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se

If i change it to the above without the " after the javaw.exe and the game file named to HnH then i get to a cmd prompt that says..
C:\Games\HnH>

At this point there is nothing that happens and when i close it and run the Haven.jar in there it has a log in but it says connection refused. Any ideas as to what i need to do here?

i did check

displaying same? workinglinks? that has nothing to do wiki lib bro

the wikilib was designed to gather data from wiki... obviously

what does that include? o ya downloading data and parsing

nice try bro

you are just a shit programmer who stold code
before i showed ya how it could be done you said it was impossible

then you asked me to complete it "since you already have code written for it"
stating you would keep credits in and put a special note of "thanks" at least

why not share the knowledge about other code in ender that is stolen too?

Didn't he just say it bluntly enough the kid thinks he doesn't have to give me credit

I should pm the mod's and demand ender client taken down because of copy written code belonging to me in it.
Removing licenses and credits ender doesn't magically make it yours when i have evidence of the code belonging to me bro

Rude to get pissed at some kid moving some code and then changing return method and calling it his own code? Ender look up this bro
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghetti_ ... _meatballs

Took another quick look lol nice copy + pasting my code btw.

give me a break
you work on something you don't expect a kid to come along and claim it as his own

just because it is coded that is to work with ender client doesn't give it the same licenses bro

**Edit**
Second thought maybe i should take him to court......
It is all up to you ender
