It will not run at all.

java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
pause

I read through the troubleshooting picture. I added pause cause it was only flashing, but now it goes up, I hit a key and still nothing.
Why am I the only one with this issue?

Haven's filesize is 697kb

Doesn't it say anything before the Press any key to continue?

It's like they think the "press any key to continue" is to make it run.

Seriously, we need to know what's said before that line, otherwise we have no clue what it's doing.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

I get THIS error when I start either the H&H auto run OR the Gilbertus client:

Image

Windows gives me no possible solution. I'm running 32-bit Vista. I've reinstalled Java a couple of times, even rolling back to the more Hearth-friendly 1.5, with no luck. Any ideas?

Congrats, your Windows Vista install is borked. Contact tech support. Try 7, Vista blows.

Has anyone managed to make this work with linux?

I am on ubuntu 10.10 32bit and have downloaded the 32bit linux client.

My haven.jar file is 697.5 kb

run.bat: java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se

tried adding pause, nothing happened.

If I try to run the .bat file nothing happens and if I try to run in terminal, the terminal pops up briefly before vanishing and nothing happens. I can't seem to get the client even to open. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

All right I've gotten through the login screen, but when I try to enter the actual game the client freezes up. Any ideas?

Is there a "terminal" window with the run commands in it (the java -jar etc stuff) that has errors in it when the client freezes up? If so, copypaste.

No, the terminal is blank after the program starts. I don't get an error it just locks up and the program freezes when i try to enter the gameworld.

I've been fiddling with it more and when I run the windows version with wine it works, though it is a little sluggish. If possible I'd rather run the native client though.

Also if I choose to login where I logged out, as opposed to logging in at my hearth fire, it still freezes up.
