That's not really a worthy replacement, it is a poorly edited slideshow with music that literally gives me a headache. The slideshow part is its largest problem - it doesn't actually show him playing the game.

People here will praise any contribution regardless of its quality, though.

Problem is that most people (or so it seems) play with custom clients and that making a trailer within the vanilla client would be terrible and counter productive to the game's popularity since it is garbage. I might give it a shot if using a custom client to shoot the video in isn't a problem for the trailer.

Good afternoon, Hearthlings. Surely the above video does Haven and Hearth a disjustice, considering the leaps and bounds taken. The graphics (Apple trees and houses anybody?) and grinding appearance (Wheat planting? :/) of it being the main culprits.

Now, to cover most aspects of Haven and Hearth, is just not possible by a single player. The hermit lifestyle of a self-run fort in comparison to communal villages, ranged combat of bear-slingers in comparison to man-handling of a dozen aurochs.

So, what I propose is that as many volunteers as they feel, should record short 5-25 second clips of features of Haven and Hearth (With Fraps/Camtasia/Etc), one of us patches it into a single 3-minute(sp) video, upload it to youtube, then throw the link at Jorb und Loftar.

Those unable/unwilling to do videos, could simply give ideas of what should be put into the video, then I'll update this main post with a To Do List for the cinematogrophers.

As you may or may not know, Haven & Hearth is participating in this year's edition of the Swedish Game Awards. Most of you probably found your way here after seeing our gameplay trailer. What you may not know is that the only reason we made that trailer, and thus the only reason you found your way here, was that it was a competition requirement that we make one. The coverage we have gotten on sites such as http://www.tigsource.com and http://www.indiegames.com is also exclusively an effect of us being in the SGA '09 competition. It'd be nice to win something.
