I'm trying to remember how I set up Enders on Mountain Lion, since you won't be able to access to Java control panel.

I think I remember adding a flag to the batch file in order to have it select the correct version (32bit/64bit)

This is what my run.bat file looks like
Code: Select all
cd Documents
cd Haven
java -d32 -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

Is that run.bat or run.command?

It doesn't matter as long as you set it to open with Terminal.

It won't run properly with -d32, it just says it isn't supported by the Java VM. When I change it to -d64 (as per earlier instructions) it just throws the same error as previously.

What about running the default client (Play Button) just to determine that you have a working Java?
Also it downloads the needed jogl and libaries to Java Cache ...

?
Java 7 Control Panel on Mac
The Control Panel allows you to find information about Java version and configure various settings to help you efficiently run Java on your Mac.

To launch the Java Control Panel on Mac OS X (10.7.3 and above):

Click on Apple icon on upper left of screen.
Go to System Preferences
Click on the Java icon to access the Java Control Panel.

The original client works, but even after going on it the Enders client doesn't work and throws the same error message. :/

The Java Control Panel isn't accessible in OS X System Prefs unless you have Java 7 (I've read), and I was told to down-grade to Java 6.

Christos-MacBook-Air:~ Christo$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)

Would suggest 64-bit (and so I've been using 64 bit Enders) but I have tried 32 bit too.

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)

1.7 is Java 7 otherwise it would state 1.6 which stands for Java 6, 64-Bit Server VM states a 64 Bit Virtual Machine version

latest Java 7 64 Bit
