I love this, it's essentially what I wanted to happen all along.
Could you add more customization options for everything though?
Would be good if the highlight radius and color for humans could be customized easily.
It'd also be good with a "Potential hostile detected" text displaying underneath the portrait when someone enters one's viewing distance.

Just a little critique after using a few radar clients,

It'd be nice if you could individually select which curios to show and which not to show. Meaning being able to remove things like:
Roots, Danelions, clovers etc

Also in other clients I liked the "potential hostile incoming" message with a large circle on the minimap to warn you, it's saved me a few times lol.
And lastly, I play fully zoomed out with the map zoomed out so if the curio icon could be enlarged with the zoomed out map (if at all possible) so that you can tell what they are more easily it'd be a nice touch.

I agree with this, but it would be nice to have an option to turn it off too ;). The text kinda bothered me for some reason :). Thanks for the update, can finally have working parties AND radar :)

Love the implementation, but a bounding box showing the viewing radius on the minimap would be great.

Basically just a square 40 tiles in every direction from the player icon.

Erm. To make is usable as guide as how far you can sneak up, there is more to it than just 40(ich) tiles.

Is it possible to change the color of un kinned players on the minimap? White is a little hard to see on pavement =s

I have a problem. It works, but sometimes interface freezes. Usually this happens when I alt-tab, but may happen anytime. Gladly, it never happened when I was in combat, yet I lost a few boats and it's really frustrating. It might work for a hour or even longer, but may crash every 5 minutes after. I've tried reinstalling client, java, both x32 and x64 didn't fix it. I am using win7 x64.
Might it be overheating problem? Since I have no idea what else could cause it.
And it worked without any problems before November, didn't remember any problems at W6 start.

Yes. At PC it works OK, but I usually don't have access to it.

Well, the client was not created to run well on Intel Integrated Graphics Chipsets and such, and your driver will crash and bring the client with it. There's not much that can be done about it.
