I'm not sure if anyone written about this before, but I have a problem with the screensize. I prolly made it too big since it's crashing everytime I try to join the game. Error msg says something about Wrong Screensize. I know how to change screensize via the console and everything, but the problem is now that I can't change my screensize since I can't get into the server. Even if I change the screensize before I press the Log in button, it won't save the settnings. Nor if I type SAVE or FORCESAVE. Anyone else got any propositions? There most be a way to get things default, but I don't know where the save files are hidden.

that's odd. It should save the screensize automatically when you change it in the console. The saving functions are there for really rare cases, and the force save command basically makes it save even if it isn't safe to do so (the config might be missing certain elements). Anyways, the data should be saved in users/blah_username_blah/.haven/cache/config.xml.cached

I should remove the creation of the other config file, seeing as its been totally obsolete since loftar made the clients use the jnlp methods for saving resources.

I removed my config file, since I read somewhere else that might solve the problem. But like you say, it seems that client data is saved through java. This is overall very annoying, cause I refuse to play without nightvision. Hope it might be fixed somehow soon. Can you take a look into it? I would most appreciate any help.

I'll post a screen just showing in case. This is the commands I type in and after i restart it again screensize remains.

have you tried looking in your account folder? I assume you're using windows because otherwise I have no way to help you without doing bad things with the code D=

The only thing I can think of is that the saving is fucking up somewhere. Try waiting like 20 seconds after you close the console before you close the client, maybe its just being retarded and slow.

Using the online version, I got the same problem.

Except, there is no config file where it's supposed to be.
It's in ..\Java\DeployMent\cache\6.0\muffin\25f732c8-1e520b3f (file name differs with each generation)

Anyways, problem seems to be gone now that I manually cleared the cache, keeping an eye on the config file.

Where are the account files located?

EDIT: Very interesting thing just occur, after I changed to 800x600 and waited for 20 seconds, I tried to log in and the 1600x1024 window just showed a 800x600 game window in it. So it worked playing on, however I'd have rest of the window black, which is quite annoying.

If you're using the jnlp, try clearing the java cache. Unfortunately, I have no idea of how that is done =|
